Oh, I see. Interesting, I will try that. Thanks! This hasn't been going on long, just the past few days when I ate all my burned calories. I read that some others experienced the same thing when they began doing that. I love starting the day with eggs---that definitely helps!

Yes, it looks like I had a bit more sugar than allotted for today (two lattes!)---but when you subtract the sugar that was in fruits and veggies today, I only went over sugar 2-3. Not bad. I ate a LOT of protein today---beans, nuts, etc. I was only 3 under on protein. I was under on carbs, and got a lot of fiber. I drank a…

I bought the Amoretti syrup on eBay last year---it's great! I add a little stevia and vanilla extract, and I think it tastes just like sbux.

I work out to look and, most importantly, FEEL better! It helps me have more energy, feel more confident, and sleep better. :) It's also just fun to having something to do and look forward to after work!

Wow! You're planning early ;) I'm hoping to try some thanksgiving recipes from ChocolateCoveredKatie.com. The pumpkin pie, at least!

That's the only way I can stay on track, really---even if I do edit throughout the day!

Seriously? Okay, not on calories, but I often go a little over on fat or protein. I usually look back at what I had and if the extra fat is coming from things like avocados, I assume it's OK. If a little extra sugar is coming from the fruit I ate, I assume that's OK. If I have extra carbs from eating a ton of broccoli, I…

I was JUST reading some of those threads this week about eating back your exercise calories to wake up your metabolism... I started doing that just a couple days ago, and BOOM I was so hungry! I even went to bed hungry last night for the first time in weeks, even though I ate more than ever during the day! I eat clean too.…

We're pretty close to twins, except the age! Adding you :)

Age: 24 Height: 5'4" SW: 140 CW: 138 GW: 125 I'm also a vegetarian :) It'd be fun to be friends with anybody who's vegetarian and share food ideas!

Oatmeal for sure! I've been adding pumpkin and pumpkin pie spice to mine, super yummy! I also like an english muffin (100 cal version) with a poached egg, slice of tomato, avocado, spinach, a little feta, and salsa! Low cal and very filling.

Nobody ever got fat off of eating too many fruits and veggies ;)

Way to go! You look amazing! :)

I just started last night! Did day 2 today. Felt really good, and I could already tell I had just a little more endurance the second time around. :)

I have big chocolate cravings, too! I like this recipe at CCK for a healthy, quick chocolate fix: http://chocolatecoveredkatie.com/2011/11/06/one-minute-chocolate-cake/ Also, I've been doing chocolate milk with almond milk and mocha powder! Low cal, low fat and if you make it SUPER hot, it takes awhile to drink---meaning I…

Yep, this!! I think families really participate in their health TOGETHER. They eat the same things, do the same activities (working out or not), etc. When one person starts doing something different, especially if it is BETTER, it makes everyone a little uncomfortable. This is for YOU. This is your journey, nobody else.…

For fat burning, my mom always says (she's a fitness instructor/trainer) to go HARD for LONGER. Both. The problem with high intensity is that you, theoretically, won't be able to do it for endurance. But if you can do high intensity for a long period of time, it's better than either one of those things. :)

One breakfast I've been loving recently is oatmeal, with a little maple syrup, and a tablespoon of pumpkin + a dash of pumpkin pie spice. YUM! Pumpkin is great, oatmeal is very filling. I would also suggest maybe smoothies with frozen berries and oatmeal or peanut butter? You can also add some greek yogurt. Larabars are…

Thank you! This is super helpful.

I did day 2 of 30DS, and I already didn't have to take as many breaks! Woo!

My parents have done that, on WW, and it worked really well for them. They were able to get through any plateau and hit their goal very quickly. Instead of eating high calorie for a whole weekend, though, they indulged in a high-calorie italian meal every Friday. It worked every time!

Yep! I became a vegetarian, and people constantly ask me if I'm being healthy. Then when I say I'm trying to lose weight, they give me this concerned look and say I don't need to—but how do they know? They can't see beneath the clothes, LOL

It's OK if it happens once in awhile! Just accept that it will happen once in awhile, and forgive yourself. Let it happen, then move on and do better next time! :) Totally OK to eat some Greek tomorrow! If you're worried, just control your portions! If 95% of the time you're on track, that is GREAT! Nobody can do it…

I think I feel best (maybe not the prettiest, but I feel AWESOME) when I'm no makeup, at the gym, sweating all over the place. I mean, in my head I'm like a BEAST. Hahaha. But, it is hard not to feel self-conscious, especially when my body isn't exactly to the place I want it to be yet. Like, my legs... I always feel…

Exercise is a really vital part of losing weight. And, it's not just about losing weight, it's about being healthy! Living a sedentary lifestyle will be bad for you in the long run, even if you are skinny. If you HATE working out, find something fun that you enjoy—maybe bowling? maybe just walking the dog or hiking? maybe…

Thanks! You too! :)

You can do it!! You'll love this community, it is great—helpful tools, encouraging members. :)

You can do it! What an amazing transformation you've already had—good job!! I would love to be friends—don't have much to lose, but still always struggling with motivation, too.

I've been trying to work out most days after work, and just have a snack before so I can eat dinner after—it's so much easier for me to make a better dinner choice if I've just done a crazy, sweaty workout! Anyway, I usually have a Larabar as an energy snack, plus some veggies, before going to work out, because I'm usually…
