^ hahaha. Can I just point out that there is actually a correlation between a) how much a person is restricting their calories and b) how much anxiety they have over thanksgiving? Just check those diaries people.... It goes like this: MFP-ers on 1200 or lower calories are terrified of turkey day. MFP-ers eating a much…

:brokenheart: That is the saddest thing I've ever heard.

It will be my third Thanksgiving dinner this week, and I ate SO MUCH at the first two, and I'm going eat SO MUCH at the third as well. And I'm not feeling guilty or dreading it. And I'm going to enjoy it and it will be awesome. And I'm not going to cardio myself to death or starve myself after it (or before!). And I'm not…

I was just going to say the same thing.... I'm planning on joining a new gym that offers PT with the membership, but my current membership won't be cancelled till end of December.... I hate the idea of showing up and being pegged as an obnoxious and annoying n00b by all you folks just because it's January. Nice. Maybe if…

A couple of weeks ago, I was at work, dreaming of a great party I was going to later where there would be lots of FUDGE AND COOKIES, so when someone asked if I wanted a donut, I said, "No Thanks!" to which a bunch of people snarkily replied, "Oh, and that's how she stays so skinny." I was like.... whaaa??? I'm pigging out…

^ This. Also, I read a little of the book, mostly for some good recipes, but what I really took away was in her intro.... she mentioned how she was eating a very low calorie diet in combination with intense cardio to try to lose weight, and really destroyed her metabolism doing so. I wish she had focused more on this in…

Me too! Cauliflower has been my life saver—Bang Bang cauliflower, barbecue cauliflower, General Tso's cauliflower..... it works for everything :)
-
You're welcome! :) I'm not sure if the buffalo sauce is vegan or not, you might want to read the labels of that one you get. Next time I might just roast the cauliflower and season it, and forego the breading. I think it's actually unnecessary since cauliflower is already crunchy.... it would also lower the calories! :)

Oh, this is totally me. Have to buy "straight leg" just to fit in, and they totally look like skinnies on me. Sheesh. I've always hated it, but learning to love it..... I mean, heck, look at mah muscles!!! :)

When it comes to weight loss, yes. But when it comes to feeling good and having long-term health benefits, not bunk at all.

I find that when I buy fast food a lot, I don't feel that great compared to if I make something similar at home. Maybe that's what you're feeling? It's not the worst option, but if it makes you feel sick, then I'd say try something else.. In that case, it'd be a great idea to make freezer breakfast burritos or something…

Bwahahahahhaa. Funniest post ever!

Actually, I was pleasantly surprised when I physically measured out a 1/4 cup of granola. It's perfect for a cup of yogurt and fruit.
-
I agree, why blame the fruit? But in all seriousness, your calories are VERY low to begin with. You probably should be eating more.
-
Wait....... I can't have both?
-
Not really..... I had bread 3 times today, and fruit three times... and peanut butter once.... and was under my carb goal. Besides, carbs are good for you. Especially the ones in whole grains like bread, and in fruit, and in peanut butter. Plus, did you know fiber makes up a lot of the carbs? Fiber is REALLY good.

I'm actually not very worried. I'll be having three Thanksgiving dinners and two Christmas dinners.... as well as a week of vacation visiting family. But I know my TDEE, and know how much I'd have to eat over that to gain back all I've lost (which is A LOT), and I'm not worried. In fact, I'm planning on not tracking a few…

Aha, your true motive presents itself!

But............. bread, PB, and fruit are all low-cal and very good for you...... Bread: 2 slices = 130 cal or so PB: 1tbsp = 100 cal Fruit: All easily under 100 cal :indifferent:

I have tried to limit drinking of my calories. Only have beer or wine on VERY special occasions, don't drink soda, try not to have coffee more than once or twice a week (only if it fits my calories). I'd rather eat my calories, and alcohol makes me break out anyway. Other than that.... there's not really anything I've…
