There are a lot of free ways to lose weight. Counting calories is not the only one. You don't need any special supplements, shakes, or chocolate bars, etc. You don't need to pay for any special websites.

You have to do your own research and find what works best for you. For me a 3500 weekly calorie deficit doesn't always equal a 1 pound loss. It's not simple math. The human body is more complicated than that. For me, it is dependent on what I eat. If I eat high carb and low fat, it does not work. Since I change my…

It is a pity you throw them away. You should eat the whole egg. It's good for you!!!

Right now I am not taking any vitamins or supplements. Do you think a multivitamin could give me enough of what I need?

Thank you for recommendations. I will try them and see how they work out.

It takes time for your body to adjust. I just went thru couple of weeks of gaining on scale, but finally it started moving in the right direction. Don't quit and keep going. I try not to weight myself too often because there is a lot fluctuation due to water retention in you body.

I agree. Don't focus on calories, just focus on macros.

I've been doing keto for about 1 month. I've lost 12 lbs...I gained 1lbs last week, but not stressing. It just happened to coincide with me starting to workout. I love the feeling of being in ketosis. I almost never feel hungry and have lots of energy.

I agree. I just started working out, mostly running, and I've noticed my weight has gone up about 3 lbs. Every muscle is my body is sore, so I am attributing my gain on water retention due to stress on muscles from running.

I know that it's easier said than done, but don't focus on scale. As you said, "you know you are building muscle and clothes feel loose". Keep up what your doing and the results will come.

I started Keto about 1 month ago and I am feeling great. I've lost 13 lbs. without feeling tired or hungry. You are all welcome to add me if you like. We can support each other.

Amazing!!! At true inspiration, and affirmation that your goals don't happen over night. It's an ongoing journey and you have to work at it! Thanks for sharing.

I have gotten the same type of response from my family. Everyone wants to tell me what I should be doing, but do not want to listen to the reasons why I chose a low carb diet, over other options. It's a battle I have to fight almost every day. My take is " I am going to show them!" I know I will reach my goals, then they…

I stated Keto diet about 3 weeks ago. I shoot for 10% carbs, 25% protein, and 65% fat. It took me about two weeks to get it right. I am finally in ketosis and I feel great. As someone just mentioned, go to your goals and choose custom. First enter your calories, then the % for carbs, protein, and fat. I try to stay close…

Ever since I changed to eating high fat, moderate protein, and low carbs, I find that I am not hungry and eat less. I still track what I eat, not so much for the calories, but as a way to see what is working and not working. I do try to keep my carbs below 50 grams, so MFP helps me do that. I always say "do what works best…
