You're not doing anything wrong! You can't control where you lose fat/inches from. It may take a while, but sooner or later the inches will start coming off from your stomach. However, I have to say that when I was doing Insanity the oblique exercises (like the one in the fit test, can't remember the name) really helped…

I start it today (as do you, I think?) so I haven't done it yet, but I've previewed the video. The cardio is less intense, Shaun T doesn't really push anybody, everyone's just taking it easy. I'm the same height and 150lbs and I burn anywhere from 200-350 calories depending on the workout.

I just got back from my run, 3.1 miles in the snow! I only wore one pair of socks, but I just loosened the laces towards my toes and then tightened them at the top and it turns out that's all I needed to fix my problems. Welp. I appreciate everyone's advice though!

Thanks everyone! I'm going to try running today with 2 pairs of socks and a different knot and see what that does. I wouldn't be able to return them until next week anyways, so I have some time to test things out.

I believe P90X incorporates more strength training, and from what I can tell from Google, Asylum has one strength video as well. I think it just depends on your goals. Anyone else noticing they're more hungry since starting? I went up from 1750 to 1900 before starting the program and I still find myself hungry! I think I'm gonna see how my measurements/weight loss is doing at my next check in and then adjust accordingly.

That's really interesting and good to know! Congrats! However since I'm not running throughout the winter I know I'll be dying to get back on the road by the time February comes around...I was thinking about possibly only doing Insanity 5x a week, run once a week, and then have a rest day?

RI30 is really similar and has the same format as 30DS, it's just that the moves are a little bit more advanced. I did them back to back and was easily able to keep up with RI30 - at least for the first few weeks. :) I did enjoy RI30 more too!
