I don't know of one that can tell you how long you walked if you put in how far you walked. I would say to just estimate how long you walked. :flowerforyou:

Well your mother-in-law probably mistook your desire to not eat the cake as a rejection of her love and hospitality. I hope that, if you explain it to her, she will understand and the offense will be forgiven. If not, just make sure you share your concerns/confusion with your husband and just move forward being grateful…

Hang in there! I do the same thing when I'm under stress - well I either don't eat or I sometimes eat too much. Make sure you get enough sleep and eat SOMETHING healthy at each meal time. If your body gets worn down from stress, lack of sleep AND lack of nutrition you'll end up getting sick and that'll just be something…

I'm fairly new to this site, too. It's been such a blessing to have people comment and encourage me when I've had my down times. I started here at the end of July and it's been wonderful! I hope everything goes well for you! :flowerforyou:

yogurt is a good option...I love veggies and hummus too! It's a great snack and packs good protein! Find something low-cal that you like to snack on, make dinner before your mom gets home so it'll be ready when she gets home (maybe?), drink additional water (that fends off the hunger monster) or eat small meals throughout…

Another awesome story! You look great!! :flowerforyou:

That's such an amazing story! Congratulations!! Makes me look forward (if there is such a thing!) to my workout this evening. My story isn't as fabulous but I started 7/25 and as of today I've lost 14 pounds and about 7 inches!!! Everybody has a different story but it's so exciting when we can share them and cheer each…

That looks like a really cool site. I think I may give it a try too! Thanks for sharing it! :flowerforyou:

There are going to be ups and downs. Do not get discouraged. We all go through it and, though it's frustrating, as long as you're sticking to your calories and doing your exercise, the weight loss will begin! Hang in there! :flowerforyou:

I agree with Bren. My husband and I went out for dinner this weekend (it's been sooooooooo long since we've been out - usually just can't spare the $) and I enjoyed it immensely. I put half of my meal in a box and slowly enjoyed the other half. I had the 2nd part on Sunday, after church, for lunch - well most of it. My…

Welcome back! Phillipians 4:13 says that you can do all things through Him who gives you strength! This site has helped me break a bondage to food that I've had for over 20 years now. It's such a blessing and everyone is quite helpful, especially when you're having a bad day!! :flowerforyou:

My 'idol' or the person I want to be most like is Esther, from the book of Esther. She was obedient and dedicated to the life God placed her in and, even when she was unsure about her circumstances, she continued on and did what she knew was right and what she knew she had to do. I relate that a lot to my weight loss. I…

I'm with Selby...I don't think I've worn a size 5 since ...like 2nd grade?? hehehehe Congrats! Keep up the hard work! It's wonderful when you can see progress in a tanglble way like that. I have a special top that has these beautiful sleeves. One of my 'tangible' goals is to be able to put it on and NOT have it tight on my…

Grace is the best way to approach it. I do agree, that if it's your husband's brother, that you should discuss it with him. Even if he chooses not to address it it's important to share things that hurt you with the man you married. I also agree that no matter what you look like, how much you weigh or anything else there is…

I'm more like BrendaLee  . I have a bright smile and eyes so that's usually the first thing people notice about me. It does get a little frustrating when people can't see a difference but if/when they do I just say, "Thanks" and smile at them. If they ask questions just tell them that you're working on eating…

I *completely* understand your frustration! Don't beat yourself up. Sometimes you DO need to enjoy yourself and if that's pizza, then enjoy it. I realized the other day (when I forgot to cut my chicken into a smaller piece) that I was just eating and eating and I had been full a while before. I was shocked because I…

Although it is typical to have a difference in breast size, if it's 2-3 cup sizes different you should go and check with your doctor to make sure you don't have anything else going on.

I agree with the needing 'to cheat' thing. Although - it's not really cheating as long as you log it and know how many calories it has in it. If you remove everything you like from your diet you'll be bitter and resentful and end up binging and making yourself sick. As far as the Chinese food - Enjoy what you want, even if…

If you really want some Tiramasu have some-just a small piece. If you remove everything you enjoy from your eating habits then you will end up being bitter about it and binge on it. Foods, in moderation , should be fine. The moderation is the hard part. Hang in there. Awesome job in asking her about salads and watching a…

I have a 32 oz water bottle that I usually fill and drink 3x a day. Sometimes, especially on hot days or during/after exercise, I will drink more. People can and do drink themselves to death but, if I'm not mistaken, that is from signifcant amounts of water being taken over a very short time period. :flowerforyou:

I just don't understand why the weight isn't coming off if the size is changing. :grumble: It was great to put on a pair of jeans today that used to be painful around the waist when I drove for long periods and were difficult to zip and have no problems with them. I'm just confused as to how the whole process…
