  • Love it! Tastes good mixed in a protein smoothie as well as mixed with water and smeared on things.
  • I did it last January/February after finishing 3 rounds of P90X prior. I did get into great cardiovascular shape, however I did lose some lean muscle mass that I'd developed from P90X. It's a hard core workout, and it's a very good workout, but I'll never do another 60 days straight through...it's just not soul workout.
  • The best time to workout is the time when you can commit to it every day, be it mornings or afternoons.
  • Fire 30 is my standby 4:15 a.m. before work workout. Perfect length and I get a good 325 calorie burn in a mere 30 minutes.
  • I'm a teacher and I eat lunch with my kiddos in the early lunch spot...that means lunch is from 10:20-10:50. I get home by 3:30 and I have a snack...usually it's chocolate Shakeology with almond milk. If I'm really low on calories for the day, I may add something else (PB, some unsweetened coconut, etc.). My workout start…
  • P90 (Power 90) was the program that originally inspired Tony Horton to create P90X. Thus, P90X is based on the moves in P90, only made more challenging with longer programs and more variety. That said, I do NOT in any way shape or form believe that P90 is too easy. There are 5 workouts in the program...2 cardio based, 2…
  • I LOVE Moving Comfort bras. You can go to their main website and put your measurements in and they'll make a suggestions as to which bra would be fit your girls. A friend of mine who is a DDD found her perfect fit on Moving Comfort and now finds the bras at a lower cost through amazon.
  • I'm finishing up week #2 (though it's my 4th round). Stick with it...you'll be amazed at what you can accomplish in 90 days!
  • It took me TWENTY WEEKS to learn to appreciate Yoga X. TWENTY WEEKS! When I switched to a different program that didn't include a yoga session, you know what happened? I got hurt and was out for 8 weeks. Most people don't like yoga because it's hard, both physically and mentally. So, you gonna' give up for that one reason?…

  • Taking the fit test is nice because you take it again at the end of 90 days and you get to see how much you blow your day #1 numbers OUT OF THE WATER!!! I'm in week #2 of my fourth round.

  • I'm currently in week #2 of a P90X/Turbo Fire hybrid. I simply swap out PlyoX and KenpoX for two longer Fire classes (either Fire 55 or Fire 60). On yoga day, I do a short Fire then the first 45 minutes of YogaX. I then do the P90X strength workouts on the regularly scheduled days + Ab Ripper. During recovery weeks, I do…
  • I'm currently studying for my A.C.E. Certified Personal Trainer certification and will become a Turbo Kick instructor along the way as well.
  • I found that the very limited calories really couldn't fuel me sufficiently to really workout hard. I walked my dogs during my 3/4 days cleanses and that was about all I could do without completely crashing during workouts because of lack of fuel.
  • I'll ditto the previous poster...if you need to up your strength training, ChaLean Extreme or P90X is what you need. Personally, I think ChaLean Extreme might be more 'user friendly' with regards to also doing marathon or 1/2 marathon training.
  • I pushed play for the first time on April 3, 2009. Since then I have completed: 1. P90X-Lean 2. P90X-Doubles 3. P90X+ 4. Insanity Insert 2 months of nothing but dog walks here because I tore an intercostal ligament (right after my last Insanity workout and the pain would drop me to my knees if I even attempted to do…
  • If you leave it in the box and don't change any habits that are limiting your success, nope, it won't work. Neither will P90X. However, if you push play faithfully, work hard every day, lift to failure (sorry, but 3 and 5 lb. dumbbells aren't going to get it done) fuel your body properly instead of 'just eating,' and…
  • Find your 'why.' WHY do you want to get fit? Why is working out important to that goal? Once you can find the why, and it's an important why that truly speaks to your heart, the steps to getting there become more important.
  • I just happened to mention on Facebook last night that I was contemplating 4:00 a.m. workouts a few mornings each week so I could have more time with my hubs in the evenings. One of my friends who volunteers with me at the dog shelter (who is also a type 2 diabetic and has several health issues because of her…
  • While I'm currently doing a 90-day round of P90X/Turbo Fire, I did a round of ChaLean Extreme and then the ChaLean Extreme/Turbo Fire hybrid last year. I really leaned out a TON, dropping a considerable amount of body fat. Don't be afraid to really lift HEAVY! You'll be surprised that even if you don't drop a lot of weight…
  • I love both P90X and ChaLean Extreme. Both are VERY good, well rounded programs that will help get you into great shape. Both are modifiable to allow you success even if you aren't already in good shape (my day 1 of P90X I was 205 pounds and hadn't done anything more than walk dogs a few days/week for several years). P90X…
  • steel cut oats...they take forever to cook (30+ minutes), so I generally make a batch on Sunday in the crock pot that will last me through the week.
  • IMO, the most important part of YogaX is the first 45 minutes...the rest is balance poses and simple stretching (which I understand are important as well, but I tend to skip if I'm limited on time). Sooo...if you've got 45 minutes, do the first half. Tony Horton also has two other, and shorter workouts, that are part of…
  • Thank you for the offer!! Truly, much appreciated and I very may well take you up on the offer! I took one of the online assessments prior to reading any of the materials or doing any studying (did this back in August) and scored a 68%, so my basic knowledge must not be too horrific!
  • I've been a coach for a year and a half. To be honest, I started coaching for two reasons: 1. I finally had my weightloss 'epiphany' when I found a program that actually WORKED because it included a well thought out nutrition plan that helped me totally revamp my eating habits and wanted to share my…
  • I will sit for and pass the A.C.E. Certified Personal Trainer Exam by May 31, 2011. I will be comfortably wearing size 8 pants by the September, 2011 (pants are so hard for me as I carry most of my weight in my hips and upper thighs--down from an 18 to a solid 12 already!). I will strength train 2-3 days each week and will…
  • P90 (Power 90) is the workout that Tony Horton created prior to coming up with P90X (Power 90 Extreme). It utilizes some of the same types of exercises, combines alternating strength training and cardio (with yoga) and has two different levels for when you gain strength and cardiovascular fitness. It's a good basic program…

  • This is what I do as well except I wear a Bodybugg...I also subtract the 70ish calories per hour that I would burn just being alive from the amount my bugg says I burned during that time.
  • I started a round of a P90X/Turbo Fire hybrid this week. My story is similar to yours...I've been on my journey for almost 2 years and it's incredible what I've learned during that time. Let's crush 2011!
  • I've used the Beachbody bands for ChaLean Extreme while traveling and I found that they were enough resistance. They do come in a variety of thicknesses...in all honesty, if it's not enough resistance, all you really have to do is shorten it's length and it'll get tough. I do find that with the resistance bands some of the…
  • I did Shoulders & Arms today...really tried to up my weight over previous rounds completed in 2009 (I've been doing other programs in 2010). 20 pound swimmers press is BRUTAL!!!!!! I was pretty wrecked by the end...still need to go walk some dogs and put together a demo video of a fitness challenge for New Year's Day.
