Most of what you just perpetuated with a misconception. First off, your body is also burning fat. Full stop. Second, even on keto, you can walk around hungry. I find I have less hunger on ketogenic diets than carb diets, but I am still hungry. I lift big which drives up hunger. Second, I crave food all the time. Mostly…

What you are doing is exactly projections. You have an opinion on the right way of dieting and self confirmed, based on bias, that there were no additional benefits of ketosis. It's the same thing that happens when plant based dieters suggest that meat is unhealthy or that protein isn't as important as what people say. If…

You basically stated just follow a generic macro split without asking any questions which is generally a poor approach. It's pretty much the equivalent of me saying, just go keto because it worked for me. OP, what are your actual goals?

Based on the current evidence, higher protein is beneficial during weight loss. Increase sustainment of muscle mass, improved metabolism, etc... Calorie for calorie, high protein diets produce better results. Necessary? No. Beneficial for a variety of reason? Yes.

Depending on their stats, that would be low on protein at only 60 grams. Most people would be better off with more protein and either less fat or protein.

Right! #parenting

Who is saying it's superior? Like I stated earlier is there are indicators or trends of successful people, most of which are not the specific diet but rather other additives (i.e., tracking) that make people more successful.
-
At your current stats, fat loss should be prioritized. If you aren't losing fat, I'd ask are you using a food scale and logging daily?
-
Hell yeah. Honestly, i don't even know how people like chicken breast. You get ma little more protein and less fat for breast, but no flavor and dryness. Thighs are where its at. Its how my tacos are ao fricken good.

There is a pretty good difference in calories between skin on and off. Respectively, its 250 vs 130 per 4 oz. These are the same ones i eat but go skinless because the calorie difference unless i am trying to impress friends. But yea, don't count the bone.

BBQ breakfast.

Lol. It's good stuff. I love seafood and try to incorporate it frequently.

A little breakfast seafood scramble, cream cheese and chive stuffed smoked salmon with a side of berries. Delicious and nutritious.

And my response is still it depends. Keto is not authentic to my style of eating but i found it blunted my hunger. I tried it after trying to get super lean for 3 years after i lost my first 50 lbs over a decade ago. And while food is food, there is often a lot more baggage to deal with when it comes to dieting..and simple…

As a very experienced dieter, i can tell you that your strategy doesn't work for me anymore. The only way i can lose weight is keto because its the only way for me to sustain a deficit. Carbs signal my hunger. So I will run a cyclical ketogenic diet where i carb refeed every two weeks for two days. As a group, we need to…

You very easily achieve not looking bulking if you just don't get too lean and don't take anabolic steroids. There is also a bit of person perception. I suspect you got a little too lean which increased definition which make you believe you were bulky.

To be a bit pedantic; It's much more likely that the over-consumption of calories will decrease fat oxidation leading to increases in fat storage from dietary fat, then your body storing carbohydrates or protein, since our body can't store amino acids (proteins). Overfeed de nova lipogenesis studies on carbs only show a…

You would need to go into your diary settings and select net carbs to be enabled.

Focus on reducing carbs and increasing fats/proteins. If you can sustain a low carb diet, it would be a good position as a diabetic. If you consume carbs, I would recommend doing it in conjunction with fats and proteins. And most of your carbs should come from low gi fruits and veggies.
-
So much agree. I think focusing on overall nutrition, and a reasonable dieting approach is good. If one wants to focus on anything, i would look to incorporate more fish/seafood and increase vegetables, fruit and fibrous whole grains. You can also incorporate olive/avocado oils, seeds and nuts. Overall, exercise and weight…

You should look up fat bombs also. Big in the keto diet, but also very caloric

I am still hear. I am a little up in weight due to a few birthdays. Sitting around 167 instead of 164. I am largely fully healed and have added a bit of calisthenics into my workout to see if that will increase my EE to help with the cut. Still focusing on whole foods. One of my bigger issues is sleep since my work is on…
