Curious what your zones are and where you got them. Being in z1 & z2 95% of the time but an average of 150 just seems high to me.

@Elise4270 I haven't made any real decisions I guess. It doesn't bother me once I start running, just after down time. I've been stretching a lot and doing more specific stuff for it. Even tried out the yoga @shanaber recommended! I think it will get better as I get back into shape and lose some weight. If it gets worse…

I can't even find all the flavors they have now, but I'll need to start searching more!

It's even better on the bike when you get "caught" speeding!

Thanks for the info!! Always helpful to hear others' input. @Elise4270 Are those pics of the book Running Strong? @shanaber Guess it might be time to give yoga a shot! Considering doing yoga for 6 years but not actually doing it is probably long enough, right? ;)

@Elise4270 it's on the bottom of my foot. Specifically right where the heel meets mid foot/arch.

Thanks! I was thinking plantar fasciitis as well. It's not too bad, goes away quickly with some stretching, and doesn't bother me when I run. I already have orthotics, so it looks like icing and stretching even more, along with some weight loss, will help.

8/1- Bike day (but those miles don't count here) 8/2- 4+ morning run...I hate mornings Total: 4 / 70 On another note...my feet hurt! My left more than right, and mostly in the heel. It doesn't bother me at all when I'm not on my feet, but after I've been sitting for a while (at my desk or in the morning) and get up it's…

Hi all! I'm new round these parts. Was on MFP religiously about 3-5 years ago, but fell off the wagon after my last race in 2015. Prior to that I was a fairly serious triathlete. Well, now I'm jumping back on the wagon and just signed up for my 5th Ironman yesterday. August will be my first true training month to get back…

I wish I was doing it!

Yes, but you're one sick individual.

I've done IMLP 4x. Signing up for 5...unfinished business from the last one!

Hi all! I was here a few years back and had a lot of success and met some great people. I'm a triathlete that fell off the wagon after the last race I did...2 years ago. Hopping back on and looking to drop some lbs and get back in shape. Feel free to add for motivation/support!

I'm game. Feel free to add.

Yes please?

Count me in...again. Shoot me a message with it though....

I have two alarms set for morning workouts. One says: "It's easier to wake up early and workout than it is to look in the mirror each day and not see what you like." The other simply says: "KONA!!!"

In for ice cream...and running because I have to.

Do you do track work? My running club has weekly speed work at the track. An actual coach creates 2 workouts and can tailor them to everyone. I've gone for 4 weeks now and have noticed improvements already. Yesterday's workout was: VO2 Max Workout 4-7 x 1000 meters (2 ½ laps) • 3-4 minute recovery jog between reps • Begin…

In for the ideas

Shin splints are typically caused by something that can be relatively "easy" to fix. Don't just give up on running!

An easy way would be to weigh the total when you're done making it. Take whatever you see as a serving and weigh that. Divide total weight by weight of serving = number of servings. Could also do this with a measuring cup. I'll make chili and my serving size is a cup. When it's done in the crock I'll scoop it out and see…
