I'd welcome some new friends. I was on MFP 3-4 years ago with a lot of success and have been back for about 6 months now and again seeing great results. Feel free to add me!

New year, new friends! Add me!

Anyone can add me. Logging daily for quite some time now.

When I decided to pull the trigger on power, (actually, when my fiancé tells me I can pull the trigger), I'll probably go with whatever has the best deal at the time. Definitely pedal/crank based. That's all I've done, but on Zwift this year. I used trainerroad before and liked it better partly because it shows my power…

PowerTap P1 were Triathlete Magazine's "Best in Class" for 2017. I don't have a PM just yet, but I'm getting there.

Zoot has some great deals right now. Like this.

Count me in!

@aeloine The gif is from Billy Madison. It is in reference to the article, not what anyone said in this discussion.

Great work!

These are great and light. They are bulky, though, so they don't work well with winter hats (if you have to deal with that nonsense). I've used them for 3+ years and run quite a bit.

A lot of cyclists/triathletes use them, especially those of us that deal with snowy winters. Some train on them exclusively as you can control your workouts. I've done up to 4.5 hours on one. My advice is using a program like Zwift or TrainerRoad and turning on Netflix.

Could always use more. Pretty active and log daily!

Wow! Great work, Nick!

Feel free to add/message me! Triathlete back here again looking to drop some lbs after success doing the same a few years back,

Catching up after a busy weekend of driving! Was able to squeeze in a bike Saturday, but moved my rest day to yesterday. Have 6 planned for after work today! Hope everyone had a great weekend and start to the week! There's too much reading to catch up! 8/2- 4+ 8/3- 1 (after a bike - first brick since 2015!) 8/4- 5 8/6- 6…

Keep your feet on their toes..I see what you did there.

More muscle mass = higher testosterone = increased libido

I was looking at that style, which have the little bar to hold them in place as opposed to ear loops.

I just got the Senso ones in June. The ones that died were the Audio 66 BTS. From what it sounds like 2 years is pretty good? They only saw heavy use for a few months.
-
I haven't! I know I've heard of them, but they never crossed my mind as I typically look at the "top 15 bluetooth headphones for running" lists which I don't believe I've seen them on.
-
The pair I have now are these from Senso, which look very similar to those. FWIW, the Senso ones I have now are pretty great sound-wise. I'd recommend them to anyone, they just don't work for me and my misshapen ears.

Rest days are the best days! You sometimes really forget how important they are, or don't think you *need* to rest. After some harder, long-ish (compared to the last two years) workouts this past weekend, I took my typical Monday off. Tuesday's bike and yesterday's run were great! 8/2- 4+ 8/3- 1 (after a bike - first brick…

Hope everyone is having a great weekend! Starting to be able to extend workouts a bit, so I'm getting excited! Also, no pain in my feet while running still, and it's not as bad in the morning/after rest. 8/1- Bike day 8/2- 4+ 8/3- 1 (after a bike - first brick since 2015!) 8/4- 5 8/5- Bike day 8/6- 6 Total: 16 / 70

Plus, post-race food is the best food! I've had some pretty crappy pizza after an Ironman, but it tastes sooooo good!
-
Great! My local club has a group speed workout at the UAlbany track on Tuesdays! I may start going in a few weeks. I love going to Saratoga, especially with the track open now. I've been up there too much lately! I've never done a solo marathon, but I can't think of a much better reason to compare cheese steaks! I've been…
-
I hate 5ks, too! I've only ever run one. I do speed workouts 1x a week to get my "fast" muscles. What marathon are you doing? I see you're a fellow NYer - I'm up in Albany.
-
I hope I never have to run in that nor see a HR that high! That's why I do Ironman and not short races...slow and steady, I'm not a sprinter!
-
I'm reading through the Triathlete's Training Bible for the 2nd time. Just "getting in shape" now and will do some actual tests in the next week or two. They will be depressing considering how much better shape I was in when I paid someone to test me! lol
-
Awesome! High LTHR. I've never had my run actually tested (nor done it myself), just based it off my bike test. Planning to do them both as soon as I can withstand the workout!
