So the last two days have been aweful. I haven't logged, Ate terribly and drank even more. It is these habits that got me to this weight. I realised this morning as i woke up feeling bloated and gross that I have not been giving this journey my all and I need to change that. This week I promise to log each day AND try to…

I only officially weigh myself once a week, recently I have been checking every few days more just to see how my diet and dinner time are effecting me. I feel like I must stop that though because when I see those 2lb swings (mostly up) it gets me bummed out. I would say at minimum do once a week, usually the same day and…

I am so glad I came across this post. I too am thinking of getting a HRM as I feel MFP and Runtastic don't provide realistic calories burned for some activities. For example I play volleyball two times a week. The intensity varies but on MFP there are two options a hour on one will have me burning 240 and the other over…

Sadly there is no quick fix, it truly is about lifestyle. What I can tell you is that you aren't alone. I'm struggling with losing weight as well. I am engaged, no kids and work can be demanding (45-50 hrs a week average). But years ago my life was pretty much the same and I was much, much lighter. I was eating healthy,…

Sounds like the group for me too! I am about 5' 6" and have be sitting around 200 for the last few months. When I break that mark I usually find some way to creep back up. Either through self sabotage or just through life itself (those are probably the same thing :) ). My overall goal would be to get to 165-170, I was that…

I love jumping rope, its high intensity and you get a great work in a short period of time. Tie in some resistant band exercises, situps, sqauts, etc and you have your own little circuit.

To most of you, thanks for the help. It is really appreciated.

There are a lot of people like you on mfp. Take me for example. About 10 years ago I lost about 35 lbs. I maintained that for a few years. Then I started to get sloppy. I devoted more time to work and started eating bad and barely exercising. Now I am at the heaviest I have ever been in my life. I have been on mfp since…

Most of my favs have already been listed - Loving Hut (I think the one on Richmond and the one on Broadview serve different stuff) - Fresh (Love the magic tofu wrap) and I agree the food is nutritious and whole - Freshii I am a vegetarian living.working downtown so I have also found good food (and not just salads) at these…

This is what I usually do as well, but have decided to try and cut down my soda intake. Maybe to 1-2 a week, instead of everyday.

Ok, I'm in. I will do these tonight after my run.

I'm in!

Welcome! I have been on mfp a few months. As the new year approaches I am trying to find new focus, so all the support we can provide each other would be great!
-
Congratulations, you look amazing! You have truly inspired me.

I like the suggestion of logging everything even if you go over. I am terrible at logging and I think it is because most days I do go over. But, I guess if I was logging and seeing how much I was going over it would make more sense why the scale goes up instead of down. My strategy this month is to not skip a work out. I…

Welcome my fellow Canadian! I have been a member since June and have yet to find my stride. I am hoping mfp can provide me the accountability I need to eat better and exercise. It sounds like you are on your way to a new you. Feel free to add me.
