  • Stop using that as a reason. seriously, STOP! You will never end up big and bulky if you lift. If you are looking at pro body builders and saying that. you should know that they have YYYYEEEEEEEEAAAAARRRRSSSSSSSSSS of lifting over you and a little added extra help.
  • I almost have hbp simply because of salt. My intake is disgusting. I try to keep it as lot as possible but most of the time its hard to stay around my goal of 1600. There is salt in EVERYTHING. Even the stuff that doesn't need it. I swear salt has salt to top it off.
  • I've gotten comments mostly from family. They are happy to see my loss. A few of my close friends have fun when we eat out and order a large shake from McDonalds and shout "Drink up fatass". We all get a laugh because I am the smallest of the group.
  • for me, its defiantly the people laughing at me. After a while, ill get bored on the track and chase one of them. Ill catch one some day damnit! The only thing that really happens at my gym is the high schoolers or younger people not re-racking weights. They get straightened out quick by other members though.
  • im 6'1 but what does height have anything to do with what was asked?
  • I hate to do this. I hate my old pics and I want to delete this. It is motivation though. Me through the years: http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h111/Tooterfrt/mechain.jpg GAH! MY EYES! doesn't show the whole pic if i do it the other way.
  • I use it in my shakes all the time. 1 scoop protein powder 1 tsp cinnamon 1 tbsp PB 2 1 Pack sweetener 1/3 cup milk 1 banana (frozen) 4 ice cubs mmm quite good.
  • I just started my first ever run of it this morning. I am starting with the doubles routine. I didn't feel it at the time but now that I am about to goto sleep, all i can say is ouch and damn I am tired.
  • I think we have all been there. I have lost 138lbs. I am in better shape now than when I was in middle and high school and I am constantly wishing I could do better. Personally, Its not media influence like a lot of people claim. For me, its the fact that I have been rather large my whole life so now I am pushing to see…
  • Mon / Wed / Fri = Strength Training (1.5-2hrs) Tues / Thurs / Sat = Cardio (1hr) Sat depends on my work schedule. Sometimes I work long hrs on sat and cant make it.
  • op, thats why i don't eat out anymore. If i do on rare occasion, I straight up tell the waiter / waitress my order. MOST of them will make it right but when they don't they get to watch me correct it. Im not a prude, I just don't need the excess whit on it like a mountain of whipped cream. If i order fries and its HUGE…
  • For me.. Mon / Wed / Fri = Weight Lifting (1-2hrs Full body) Tues / Thurs / Sat = Running Sun = Rest It takes some getting used to but, its what works for me and i love it!
  • just made some. They were pretty good.

  • where to start.... 1. I hate my job. I am a college grad making minimum wage. The boss is a *****, the place is cramped, and I hate the mind numbing hours that I put in for next to no pay. 2. Due to number 1 I can't afford rent like I could where my university was. No rent cap means $700/month for even a run down shack.…
  • congrats! I just wish I could do 1.
  • My wake up call was a few years ago back in my basic college gym class. On the running days I was always the person that would finish last and hold up the group. One day the professor told a friend of mine to run along side me to keep me moving. I heard him say it even though he didn't want me to hear and I got pissed off.…
  • On the days I feel like crap and tell myself I don't want to goto the gym, I sit down and read: http://rosstraining.com/blog/2009/12/04/iron-and-the-soul-by-henry-rollins/ Its my motivator considering the 2nd paragraph is my life story. If you can though, work out at home. go out and get a pair of dumbbells if you haven't…
  • I have to agree with this. I used to be 303 and now I am 165 and I still push and criticize myself like I am 303. I see a six pack poking through but I am unwilling to accept the fact that I am thinning out. Its weird. I am happy yet calling myself fat constantly.
  • I have lost 138lbs and yes to both the above. 1. I get a lot of stares from the bigger friends that I have. 1 accuses me of using steroids. A lot just say that I have become a fanatic. My friend that I have known since 4th grade keeps cheering me on though and that is what I focus on. I also notice that yes, I do get stars…
  • I started at 303lbs and weighed in at a nice 165lbs this morning.
  • I enjoyed them a lot until i read the label and saw the sugar content.

  • watch what you eat and that 100ish calories is not even a dent in your diet. I take protein powder / shakes 2-3 times a day and I never hit my protein goal or go over calories. Get vanilla whey and you can bake it or shake it in anything. It is nice since it takes on the flavor of whatever you mix it with.
  • I do. To counter that, I eat a moderately sized meal before and I only eat very small amounts at the party.
  • 1 banana (frozen) 1 tbsp peanut butter (i use pb2) 1 Scoop Vanilla protein powder (can be whatever you like) 1 cup milk frozen banana makes it thick and it is so good.
  • Im 23 and have lost 117lbs so far. Most of it before i discovered MFP. For those of you with high goals just remember. You might go over once in a while but don't let it ruin you or get you down. There is always tomorrow to get on the right track again.
  • you can also make chocolate ice cream.
