I was just in my doctors office and my blood pressure is normal, pre-diabetes is gone, no burst cysts in 3 months, finally got a real period after 2 years, and I have more energy than I every have without caffeine.…
  • Hi Christy, My name is Cheryl (cat) and I am 29. I have been struggling with this for about 4 years and was finally diagnosed last year. I have finally found a combination of things that works for me and recently lost 12 lbs. I am working on losing another 50 and so excited that this is finally working! It can be so hard…
  • My nutritionist and I had a long chat about this and she said that giving myself a cheat day was the worst possible thing I could do for myself. I was undoing everything that I had done for my body and confusing my hormones/insulin levels by spiking my blood sugar. To address your cravings issue: She suggested I start on a…

  • I jsut started taking it too and I go up to 1000mg today too. I haven't had much fatique really not that I attributed to metformin at least, and never got sick or vomitted, but I have had diarhea for a week now, and I think that might be a side effect...not sure though. Anyone have that happen? I think you should call your…
  • bumping this for later.
  • Don't go backwards. Keep pushing forward. You were sleep deprived, that most certainly had an effect on your run. But keep your chin up. Everyone, even the most seasoned marathoners, have "bad runs." I am training for a 10k now, and every time I lace up my shoes I am chasing the runner's high that I get around 2.75 miles.…
  • Have you tried Nike Training Club. Great app, great workouts. I am always drenched afterwards!
  • 1. I a relative newbie too, but it takes me about 30 minutes. My boyfriend and I are both doing it and we alternate sets, so he is lifting while I am resting and vice versa. I add in some ab work after each session but not too much. I do a few different types of planks, regular, side, twisting, and a few sets of sit ups…
  • I put it in everything! I get a big bunch or container of baby spinach fresh, and then put it in a ziploc in the freezer, then once its frozen I smoosh it up (it cracks easily that way) voila, instant chopped spinach. I put it in everything, rice, pasta sauces, had fajitas tonight with chopped spinach. I also make eggs…
  • That is awesome! I just finished c25k a few weeks ago and now I am working on a 10k training program. Trust me..you will surprise yourself every week. each week the workouts will look tough and you will wonder how you will ever get through it and you will surprise yourself. The program is built to make you able to do it.…

  • haha nope. Anyone else want to guess?
  • when I go somewhere with no fridge access, I take a ice pack bag with a chobani greek yogurt (12-16 grams of protein) a few hardboiled eggs (7-8 per egg) Cottage cheese (14 per half cup) and some turkey/mozzerella roll ups. Sometimes I take a string cheese(7 grams of protein) too. If i am low on my fat macro I will take a…
  • Buy a Heart Rate monitor if you want a more accurate estimate. MFP is notorious for over estimating your calorie burn. Even with a HRM you still have a estimate, albeit, a much more accurate estimate.
  • adele, though i really don't think she is chubby. I think she is beautiful.
  • Its so much more fun to eat and not be starving all the time. I have so much more energy to lift heavy things now! haha I am sending you a friend request.
  • So embarrassed to admit this...1996, Britney Spears...don't judge!
  • Mine uses an electromagnetic pulse (there are metal things you stand on) and it sends out the pulse, and depending on how fast it reads it sent back, it can tell (roughly) how much body fat you have. It is actually quite accurate. I used the military equation to get my body fat estimation online and it came out the same as…
  • Is this a quote from wedding crashers? haha
  • I try to get at least 100 but my macros is set to 124.
  • I run 3-5 miles 3x per week and do stronglifts 3x per week on opposite days. I run MWF and do Stonglifts Tuesday, thursday, saturday. Sunday is my rest day, and occasionally if I feel like I need a rest day during the week I will allow myself one. It usually helps my next days workout by resting when my body tells me it…
  • Thanks Ladies, I am going to get some cottage cheese today, I love peanut butter, so that makes its way into my diet quite often. I am hoping to not have to buy protein shakes, but I will if I need to. Ill give it a few more weeks and see what happens. I wish I wasn't allergic to seafood, I didn't realize tuna had so much…

  • I plan my whole day first thing in the morning or the night before so this doesn't happen. Occasionally things come up and I have to swap out things, but this way I can just throw the snacks I decided on in a bag and go, cook dinner without being on MFP and I usually end up with leftovers or subway for lunch. It easy that…
