Like the others have said, wait till you no longer have feelings for them. I think my latest XGF would be an awesome friend, but we were pretty intense for awhile and it's not going to happen any time soon, unfortunately.

LOL...wow. I've been on dates where we just didn't hit it off, but nothing like you all are posting. The closest I can get would be the ones that talk about their Ex the whole date...then ask me at the end why I didn't talk much, lol.

Spider Tat, very cool!

A couple thoughts: How many miles on your current running shoes? Maybe you just need fresh shoes? Have you had your running analyzed? If not, go to a local running store and have them do it. They can then suggest the proper shoe to provide the support that you need. You could have awesome shoes...but not be the right ones…

IMO, you have plenty of time to train to run it the whole way. BTW, this is a cool site for predicting paces and figuring out training paces: http://www.mcmillanrunning.com/index.php/site/calculator It's just a guide of course, not gospel. But given your current 10K time, if you get your weekly mileage up to 25-30 miles…

So, how did it go?

Don't go too fast in the first mile. It will feel slower than it actually is. You will hear that gun/horn go off, see everyone take off...and off you go to the races (hehe). Then by mile 2, you are hating life. So, make sure you don't sprint that first mile. Also, don't eat or drink too much right before the race. Don't…

Lots of good advice so far. I would just add, that when you are training, to not worry about how fast you are running. The slower the better. Time on feet running is more important than distance covered.

Are you working out and he isn't?

 Sorry, but seeing the two of those together makes me laugh  P90X Chest and Back is the mother of all workouts man!

So, similar to last weekend, instead of doing 60 minutes of cross training, I did 11 hours of dating instead, lol. Starting to become a trend. Met for breakfast, went to the outdoor gun range (In a few months, I think she will be a better shot than me, lol), did lunch, went to a local nature park and walked around, had…

Short Run Today (Lunch): 2 miles in 18 minutes. 1st mile in 10 minutes, 2nd mile in 8 minutes. Right calf has been sore the past few days, and my left knee feels a bit twingy from time to time, so decided not to go for my PR on the last mile and just do an 8mm pace. Still recovering from the 5K race last weekend me thinks.…

No cardio today, but I did my Push-Up workout. Ended up with a total of 72 push-ups, spread out over 5 sets with 90 second breaks between each set.

*Becky: hehe *Tron: Awesome! *parys: good job on the workout! *gibbyup: Welcome! The only way MFP will work is if you are brutally honest with yourself, so good start!

Medium Run (6:30pm): An easy 3 miles in 30m39s (10:13mm pace) Weather was great at 65F and 95% RH and a slight breeze. Had to go in the grass for a few steps to avoid a very large puddle in the sidewalk...very soggy grass, lol. Did an additional 1/2 mile after the run on a cool down walk. Legs felt very good after the run.

Monday's are a No Cardio workout day. So, just did my push-up workout after lunch with my co-worker & friend. Good way to get pumped up for the rest of the work day! I didn't watch the Super Bowl or any of the commercials. I don't *feel* dirty... *hamncheese: Good luck with the Insanity! Make sure you eat enough. *Beeps:…

Cross Training Day: I had originally planned on doing 60 minutes of inline skating, easy pace. But ended up doing 10 hours of dating instead :D Girl on OKCupid messaged me yesterday, we talked a bit and set a breakfast date up for this morning. That went well so we went to Busch Gardens, walked around a lot, rode on 4 of…

You can also look at this site and find local race results for your area and age group. Would give you an idea what a fast time verse average time verse slow time would be for your area and age group. Might help in setting a goal. http://www.coolrunning.com/

Only suggestion I can give you is to change what you eat. No refined sugars, make as many of your carbs complex as possible and limit the simple carbs as much as possible. No refined flours, make it all multi-grain or wheat. Just a couple suggestions :)

Some of this you probably already know, but just to make sure we are on the same page: Your BMR is how much you would burn if you just stayed in bed all day; based on your height, gender, current weight, and age. Your BMR plus how many calories you burn through activity on any given day is your maintenance calories to…

Cross Training Day: Inline Skate during lunch. Went 3.5 miles in 24m30s. Took it easy since I have a 5K race on Saturday. Also, before the skate, I did my Push Up work out. Have to get back to work, will post more later!

Night Run with BRA (Brandon Running Association): 4.1 miles in a very easy 53m48s (avg 13m09s per mile pace). I felt like I could have literally kept on running forever at that pace. I never could have stayed at that slow pace the entire time on my own, running behind someone else made it much easier to not ditch the plan…

And for all the ladies sad about losing it in your boobs, you shouldn't be sad. I can't speak for all guys, but if I had to choose (all else being equal) between a girlfriend/wife/partner with small boobs who has a fit and healthy body, or a girl with large boobs who has an unfit & unhealthy body, I'd choose the former.
