It does not affect your metabolism but many people turn to food as a replacement and as their tastebuds come back food tastes better so they eat more, i know friends thaat have given up and gained nothing. Good luck!

How are you fitting this in? Stop making excuses and carve time for yourself. Wait why are you feeling guilty? 2 to 3 hours every night and weekends is plenty of time to spend with someone, if he doesn't want to do active things with you then it's not like you'll never see each other.

I drink at least 1.5 litres a day thanks to a juice bottle I have, and then I have black teas and coffees and hot chocolates throughout the day, very rarely diet coke as well, so this is one department where I'm doing fine!
