Is this real life? I'm pretty certain you're not going to be poisoned from tea. I'd be more willing this is scaremongering from flouride in tap water.

I think a majority of people, like me, become vegetarian for ethical reasons foremost. I only became a clean eating vegetarian until recently and it admittedly took me a while to get to where I am. However, I'm happier now than I ever have been as a meat eater, and I've never had any deficiency issues. Not to mention I'm…

Hiya, I'm 5'8" and 147 lbs looking to get down to 140, though you look skinner than me! I'm from Northamptonshire UK =)

This sounds so yummy! I am forever jealous of people who can get their hands on collard greens...they don't sell them in England. :(
-
What? haha! Eggs you buy aren't fertilized so it's nothing like "liquid chicken".
-
No way! As a vegetarian it would be slim chances for me without eggs!

I like quorn, the only problem is that it uses palm oil, which I try to avoid. I get a dried soya mince in bulk that tastes just like it. I don't think it's any more processed than any of the other junk on the shelves though.

I thought this thread was about catflexing :(

alpro soya vanilla yogurt is so yummy. I ate it before I was vegetarian and didn't even taste the difference. Its the vegan cheese that seems odd to me. I've never tried it because it's way too expensive!

Workouts deffo mess my cycle up. I also have fertility issues though so that may be part of it as well. How often do you work out?
-
Don't bother buying quorn, it's overpriced. I get dried soya protein from holland and barret for a huge bag and half the price! Same stuff!
-
Yeah it's on the same frequency as TVs and phones. Anything more would destroy your food.

This thread just makes me think of things people would say if they didn't abbreviate words... Mother, father, may I please borrow your automobile? etc.

I suppose you think kettles are unnatural as well because it boils water too quickly? And of course a plant will die if you pour boiling water on it. =P I like my microwave but don't depend on it. Ovens make food taste yummier and crispier than microwaves anyway.

I had a chunk of tofu I knew wasn't going to be used, so I cut it up into cubes, covered them with a bunch of spices and stuck them in the oven. BAD idea. I'm never experimenting with food again.

Actually people here say veggies and veg quite a lot. So not really.
-
no words...

Theres tons of ways to hide the flavour of veggies if thats what you family is concerned about. I cook for my boyfriend and I, usually I'll eat most things raw, but I found he will eat most things swimming in cheese. :p

Are you just using it in your tea/coffee or cooking-wise? I found with tea and coffee I could slowly wean myself off of added sugar.

By the way, if that's your hyrule crest tattoo it's awesome!

ah, what a small world! I'm moving back to Rochester next month (yuck!). Add me if you like. =)
-
Same! I noticed after giving up breads and pasta I feel much better. However, I think it had something to do with the portion sizes and how much I loved it though. =p

I don't eat sugar but this is exactly why I don't buy into all the faddy health foods that are constantly coming out. I like to use the term "if it's not broken don't fix it" quite a bit when it comes to stuff like this.... Great read though, thanks!

I drink a senna tea every once in a while just to get things moving while on my diet. It tastes like any herbal tea since they usually mix peppermint or nettle in with it. I don't lose any more weight than usual, it just cleans you out. Sort of a placebo weight loss effect. It isn't proven safe to drink for long periods of…

He barely qualified in the first place.

Hey, I just wanted to let you know that I know exactly where you're coming from. I've had a very poor relationship with food most of my life just like you. Changing your diet goals and having achievable expectations really makes you a happier, healthier person! Way to go!
-
same! I cut an apple up into it as well.
-
I've been on just about every terrible fad diet ever. It just doesn't work. Once I joined MFP I learned about the joys of moderation and haven't looked back. I can lose weight and be happy!

I get tesco fruit and nut muesli. It's around 190 calories for 50g. I don't like having just cereal though, I have 25g instead and bulk it out with an apple. Much more filling.
