First, I'm so very sorry, someone you love leaving you is just a horrible horrible soul crushing thing. I want to point out some things in your posts... But also, note all the things he ACTUALLY said to you: Guys are pretty straightforward. He is telling you WHY. When he is with you, he likes how he feels, and he does care…

hello, First of all 0.2 is not really a gain, you maintained. How is this food plan different from what you were doing before? You're including Slim Fast shakes? Obviously, exercise is the big answer for you, and along with the exercise you can increase your calories to 1400. Your profile shows you want to lose 70lbs? You…

BTW, I usually just mix mine with water because I don't have room for the extras from milk. I take the Syntrax Matrix 2x a day, Cookie & Cream is really good, but most of their flavors are really good.

People usually mix with milk, almond milk, soy milk, yogurt - usually the colder the liquid the better the taste. Also there are different and better tasting protein powders. Which one are you using? Found these for someone else, if anyone knows of a cheaper source, let me know  Body Fortress Super Advanced Whey…

As a fellow non-veggie fan... 93% Lean Beef/Turkey/Chicken Tomato Sauce (Cucina Antica Sauce is a low calorie/sodium choice) or crushed tomatoes and Italian spices or even Manwich Sloppy Joe Sauce -- Also works with Taco Seasoning (can make taco seasoning with just Garlic Powder, Chili Powder, and Onion) 1/3 cup of Wheat…

Was reading this recently showing that it's actually beneficial to consume a high protein meal just prior to bed: http://www.humanengine.com/index.php/articles/nutrition/item/nutrient-timing-endures-circadian-rhythm-protein-timing?category_id=3

Just wondering which brand of Protein Shake you are taking that taste so bad so I can avoid recommending it, Syntrax Matrix, Optimum Nutrition, MyoFusion all have good taste ratings: SYNTRAX Matrix 2.0 Cookies and Cream 2.16 lbs @ $20.57 http://www.allstarhealth.com/f/syntrax-matrix_20.htm Protein: 23g / Calories:…

First it will depend on whether you are strength training. If you are then consume more protein. You can also consume more protein to feel more satiated throughout the day. There is not really a downside to having higher levels of protein. A more scientific look at how much protein is beneficial points to 0.64 g/lb, or if…

Depends on your target, mine is around 230g. There's only so much chicken I care to eat,

From what I understand Whey Isolate should be nearly lactose free. You would need a good quality Isolate and not Concentrate or lower. There is also Soy Isolate, although not the same high quality as Whey it would meet your needs.

My personal trainer has me on them since I started. I posted this in another topic... Like everyone else said, the protein powder is simply a quick/easy replacement for a whole food source like chicken, eggs, etc. Generally it should be low in all other macros and high in protein. Some of the EAS stuff has more carbs and…

Like everyone else said, the protein powder is simply a quick/easy replacement for a whole food source like chicken, eggs, etc. Generally it should be low in all other macros and high in protein. Some of the EAS stuff has more carbs and sugar than you find in other powders. Whey protein is superior to Soy protein. Whey has…

I believe I was just reading that the denatured/undenatured argument is not really valid anymore, the break down of proteins from high heat is irrelevant. Like everyone else said, the protein powder is simply a quick/easy replacement for a whole food source like chicken, eggs, etc. Generally it should be low in all other…
