This is really a medical question that can't get a very adequate response here, I think. But, it is possible to track your blood sugar levels yourself over the course of the day if you want to invest in a glucose meter.

Skip it. Forget about it. Pick up today where you left off.

I have never tried savory oatmeal but this actually sounds quite good
-
Popcorn, deli meats, Maria crackers, and hot tea, which isn't caloric but always seems satisfying.
-
A little soup thermos might expand your horizons. (I also don't get a scheduled break and I basically eat in my car before or after travelling between work sites.)

This week I've got frozen egg burritos for breakfast and hummus for lunch cuz I have to have pack and go options there. Dinner will be your a basic protein + carb combo with a side of veggies or salad. Fruit and yogurt or cottage cheese for snacks and any leftover calories I fill up as I please

55, need to get some weight off my joints, and would love some supportive connections.
-
You could cut it in pieces and freeze them individually.

You can call it whatever you like, but I imagine it increased your heart rate, worked some muscles a little more than usual, and burned more calories than if you hadn't done it. So I'd put it down as exercise, if you're asking for logging reasons.
-
55 and been there with the menopause. More to lose than you at this point. I'll add you.
-
Yes. Count me in. Fewer calories, better sleep, all the reasons :)

Congratulations. No, it's not possible that it made losing weight harder in any physical, chemical sense. It's possible that breaking one old habit helped you focus on new ones though. So good for you in any case!

Its not bad for you, or good for you. UNLESS you are diabetic or have other issues that require to keep an eye on your blood sugar level. Otherwise its just a temporary, unpleasant sensation. But if you wanted to, you could have snacks between meals and just eat less at mealtimes. Many people find that a more enjoyable way…

Hey. Welcome.

Anything that makes you smile. Takes off 10 years instantly. Ice cream comes to mind.
-
It's sooooo much faster and easier to gain it, isn't it. 1 pound a week sounds about right for your goal. If you're satisfied with your current menu, I wouldn't change much.

Anything! Roasted veggies are yummy. Ive done carrots, asparagus, cabbage, beets, sprouts, green beans and mushrooms, off the top if my head.

Have you looked under the sofa cushions?

Not to be trite I hope, but the best workout is the one you'll stick with. Especially if you don't like bikes and you don't like exercise. If it mentally easier to get yourself to to 15 minutes at any resistance twice a day than it is to pedal for 30 minutes, do that. Worry about the next thing in a couple of weeks.

I understand its tradition, but I don't see why you can't at least ask the others if they'd mind trying someplace new. Perhaps they'd like it too. Other than than, I'd say don't be afraid to "deconstruct" a sandwich and eat oly what's inside, eat a light breakfast (or none if you can do that comfortably), and make your…

I think its very decent mild exercise, or if you're a slow walker like me, more than mild. Good cardio.

I've heard their marketing on the radio and I have to admit its pursuasive. BUT I make it a rule, personally, never to ingest any sort of pill that doesn't tell me what's in it, chemically speaking. I don't know what's in it, and I don't have any reason to believe the people selling it. Their primary claim is that it…

If you're still looking for ideas, I'd say search for some chimichurri recipes. It's basically herbs and garlic and sometimes a bit of hot pepper with a such or little salt as you like.

First of all, you neglected to include the address where these spring rolls could be found.... If you can't back into it by subtracting oil left from oil you started with, I'd guesstimate 1-2 teaspoons per roll, depending on what temperature you fried at. If they seem oily on the outside when you hold them, go with the…

What are we talking about here? There's some recent research that says that eating full-fat dairy may be linked to better cardiovascular health and lower risk of diabetes. On the other hand, there's a whole buncha research that says that healthy weight is also related to both those things. Personally, I'd go with the one…

While I'm a big fan of the "enjoy the meal with your wife" school, the USDA database says that an 8 oz filet is about 300-350 calories, if you trim/don't eat the fat. It really comes down to how lean the raw beef is and how much they trim it before its cooked.…

So just ballparking the numbers you provided, your TDEE is around 2400 or so, and your intake is around 1700- 1800 calories. So you're probably in a calorie deficit. That means that your body is going to need all of the calories you're eating, plus some from stored fat, just to meet the energy needs to keep you alive and…
-
I don't think you can hit those numbers straight on, cuz 22 grams of fat = 198 calories, BUT, I'd say a 100-calorie bag of microwave popcorn, and an ounce of cheddar cheese. That's 215 calories, 9g carbs, 16g fat & 9g protein.

I'm so sorry to hear that! My dad had similar layer in life and I do sympathize.

Well, the usda and who recommendations are basically the same (.8 g per 2 pounds vs. .8 g per kg). I'm mentioning it only bcuz below that minimum is when your body is likely to start breaking down your existing muscles so that it can get proteins to build new blood cells, skin cells, stomach lining, and other things that…
