I sometimes use protein shakes as meal replacements when I am too lazy to prepare something to eat. I just use the usual whey protein, but I add oats, ryvita and sometimes fruits with milk just so I can increase the calorie content. You can buy dedicated meal replacements if you'd like.

Go with the hard surface. Never measure your weight on a carpet. Also, make sure whenever you weigh in it is around the same time. If you weigh once in the morning and the next time during the evening or at night, the readings may differ.

You cannot spot reduce. It all depends on how your body works, just continue to eat healthy and train hard and you will see the difference. Do cardio (run up and down the stairs if possible), and definitely squats and lunges. Good luck ! :)

I eat the same thing everyday. Only my dinner changes occasionally. I don't see anything wrong in it as long as you are not bored. But yeah do make sure you get all the necessary nutrients. To be safe I take multi vitamins everyday.
