  • It is ok for a pleasure drink (1-2 a day) but not as a pick-me-up drink because positive waking up effects from caffeine on the brain disappear quickly. The lesser amount of coffee/caffeine you consume daily, the greatest the effect of caffeine will be when you really need it. At least this is my experience.
  • Monster contains caffeine and people are easily addicted to it, so I think this is bad idea especially on daily basis.   • Measure yourself. Using subjective progress indicator (mirror) is fine but an objective one (tape measure) will shred doubt. You lost a nice percentage of your weight, so you definitely have a progress in your problem areas too.
  • I found I feel hungrier faster if I eat mostly "fast carbs" at a meal (rice, bread, potatoes, chocolate:() and I'm better with "slow carbs" (lentils, beans). Check what types of carbs you eat when you feel hungry and try that :) And the water advice is great; especially that you get headaches.
