  • My wedding isn't until May 2015 so I have a little more time than your October wedding...but I refuse to dress shop until I lose at least 5 more lbs. I know I was bad last week for my birthday but I'm trying to get back on track to lose those 5 lbs by this summer so I can try on dresses and feel good about myself. Good…
  • I logged and I found that by logging I stopped myself from over indulging too much. It could have been a lot worse for me, even though I did go over my calories for the day. Too many good pastries and wine selections to behave completely.
  • Don't temp me with ice cream :)
  • If she works out like my mother that could be it. My mom can bike for 30 minutes and not break a sweat because she's barely peddling. Or she walks on the treadmill at a moderate pace and again doesn't break a sweat. If she's not pushing herself and just barely moving, it's not really working out. She could also be drinking…
  • Thanks for sharing this! I've been doing it backwards as well. I'm going to try this way the next time I do weights.
  • M-F I have one for breakfast: 1 Banana Handful of Spinach Handful of Kale 2 Carrots 1 danon light and fit yogurt (from the 4 pack) 1 cup of coconut milk (Silk is really good) sometime half an avacado if i use the other half in my sandwich for lunch ice it makes for 2 people
  • I could have written this post. I'm 5'5 and in my early 20s I was 115. Now that I'm just shy of 30 I weigh 129lb. I would say my weight gain was due to an increase in muscle mass and drinking alcohol on the weekends. I've been trying the Net of 1200 as well and it's not doing much. My weight isn't moving downward at all…
  • I'm going to a Brazilian Steakhouse tonight for dinner. Per MFP the average meal is 1500 calories....is that right?
  • I have this problem the week before I get my period. I can't stop eating bad things like chocolate and cake like products. Does anyone have an alternative solution that would curve my cake/chocolate meltdown every month? It really messes with my progress because then I can't get back on board the moderation of bad foods.
  • HAHA. I'm glad I'm not alone in this. I have learned to not finish everything on my plate. He enjoys the leftovers anyway so food isn't being wasted. He's learned to somewhat except that some nights I only want eggs for dinner and yes I will take that really small piece of chicken...I don't need .5lbs of any meat. I just…
  • I wouldn't say my relationship ruins my diet, but it's much more fun having movie nights in with pizza and wine. I still work out on a daily basis, but in the past 2 years I've gained 15lbs (working during the day and going to school at night) in those 2 years also hasn't helped with dinners shifting to 10pm. Now that I'm…
  • Kettlebell kickboxing. It helps tone the body really well. The initial investment is about $80 between the dvds and kettlebell but I think it's worth it. It helped me shed some inches and worked different muscles. I also do the elliptical often, bike, yoga, and strength train.
  • I've been here a while and manage to gain and lose the same 2lbs. I'm determined to lose 10lbs but it's very hard and slow going to for me. I've recently changed my MFP to be 1,410 calories a day with .5lb weight lose goal a week. I'm hoping that change will make a difference. otherwise I don't know what what else to do…
  • I'm pretty bad at logging in every day too. So on days I don't log in I just eat what I did the day before, or if I log in the morning I'll put everything I plan to eat and exercise for the day...which also motivates me to stick to only eating what I've logged for the day. If I didn't say anything about a cookie...well no…
  • Can you switch it from kcal to cal? kcal is what Europe uses, cal is what US uses.
  • Can I join? My starting weight is 129/130lb. depending on clothes on or off in the morning. I started at 130lb and can't seem to lose a damn pound for the life of me. A little over a year ago I weighed 115lbs and loved my body. Now I'm embarassed by it and I don't know what to do. I can't work out as much as I used to due…
  • I've been stuck since I started this site. In 2011 I started grad school at night (work a full time desk job during the day)...and I gained 15lbs in my first year of grad school. I've been trying to lose 10lbs for months now. I eat healthy. I work out 6 days a weeks. And still I weigh 130lbs. On a good day maybe I lose a…
  • I was a runner for 10 years and then 3 years ago I damaged a nerve in my right foot. It will never fully heal and I'll never be able to run again. It's very sad and I struggled in the beginning. I had to find a new sport...I took up biking. Although I really miss running sometimes, I'm glad I enjoy biking now.
  • can i join too? don't want to say current weight but need to lose the last 10lbs in my goal...and it's beyond hard.
