  • Hey! I'm 5'4" too haha! I feel like this height is a love/hate relationship. I don't have pictures right now but I thought I'd comment to say I started at 160lbs, began running and eating better, and dropped to 124. I'm back up to 135 now due to some muscle gains. Good luck on your journey! :)
  • Hello! I'm a bit taller (5'4") and weigh 135lbs. I got down to 124 last year but started lifting weights and suddenly shot back up. :s Those last few pounds are always hard! Good luck!

  • I think this is exactly what I'm talking about. I'm hungrier more often (like my stomach growls and hurts every 2 hours instead of every 4) so I end up eating more. I will try to find a balance of macros and timing for meals that works well but doesn't put me over my calorie limits. Thanks :)
  • I meant more that I won't stop myself from eating a snack or something (even if I'm over my calories) if I'm super hungry. Haha!
  • Thanks for the advice everyone. I'll try to listen to my body and eat when I'm hungry and make sure to get enough fat and protein. :)
  • Hello! I'm 5'4" and I started my weight loss journey June 2015 at 160lbs. I'm currently 130lbs and starting to really like the way I look but I'm thinking 5 more and focus on toning up! Feel free to add me! :)
  • You should be able to disconnect and reconnect the fitbit. I actually just had to do it with mine and it usually works. If not, it's often a system error that corrects itself in a couple days.
  • Yep, that's what I do. And I think as long as the computer is connected to the internet, it'll automatically update on your phone when you open the app. Like onecatleadsto mentioned, though, if you plan on using it to estimate calorie burn from activities, be aware that for riding a bike and weight lifting it won't really…
  • You're right, it is a pedometer but I really love the dashboard: sleep movements, calories burned just by walking, etc. It has really helped me to be more active. It doesn't sync with an iPhone 4 that I know of, but if you have a computer the Flex comes with a little USB plug-in that allows it to sync whenever you're using…
  • I have this same problem since I have a Fitbit. I'm currently eating at my TDEE so I don't need to eat back my calories, which is what I assume you are implying? The way I get around it is to delete any Fitbit calorie adjustments from the "exercise" tab in MFP. It makes the exercise calories and macros disappear until…
  • Yeah I did I think. I still ate around 1500-1700 calories a day though, instead of the like 1700-1900 I had been eating when I weighed more. It didn't make a really drastic difference on my BMR.
  • Ah, yes I agree that is probably true. I don't have a heart rate monitor (I'm contemplating getting one) and I normally just go by what the treadmill or myfitnesspal says. Often, I use my average speed from the treadmill and just put that in for myfitnesspal for the amount of time I run. Normally it says around 250-300,…
  • Okay, well thank you all for the advice. I'll definitely try to get a hold of a food scale so I can more accurately log my calories. :)
  • Well, you could be right about me underestimating, but the thing is that I was losing weight pretty consistently for awhile there. I'm still eating about the same amount of food and running the same amount of time, so I don't think it's necessarily an underestimation problem. It could still be true though. But if that were…
  • I don't currently have a food scale, I just try to do my best by eyeing it but I do usually measure out cups for portions sizes. I do eat my exercise calories back, but most of the time I only burn around 300 calories so it's not usually a huge addition for the day. More recently I haven't been eating as well as I had…
