Great job!! Keep it up!

It's never too late to start again! Have you tried explaining again to your friends & family that it's not a phase, that you want to make these changes permanent? They're probably feeling guilty, knowing they should be joining you on your pursuit to health. =)

I have asthma too, it really does get better! =) I still need to take a dose from my inhaler before I exercise, but I've gone from needing it a couple times a day to only needing it right before I work out! Your lungs will thank you for C25K! Keep it up!

I always tell myself "I've done this before, I can do it again." And I try to push myself a little further each week. =)

HAH!

That's awesome!! =)

Here here!! I was one of those who gave up when it got too hard... Now I get up & exercise 6X a week at 6am, and 3 of those days are spend doing C25K (if you had told me I would be doing C25K three months ago I would not have believed you). I do get discouraged when my numbers don't add up, but I try to keep the attitude…

Here's my official check-in: 161... That's a total of 1.5 lost since last Thursday! =D I'm pretty pleased about that. =) Unfortunately we are getting lots of smoke from fires around here so I may have to postpone my workout tomorrow and just do a day of indoor Zumba/yoga. =( Not as fun as C25K...

I'm with you on that... It's just bad cooking. They think they can get away with adding waaaaay too much salt & fat to our foods to get us to think it's well made. =P

Make sure you budget for it in your food diary! Start small, take it slow. You want to be able to sustain this lifestyle, so you need to eventually learn how to have self-control. You will never be able to sustain a 100% perfect diet! Someday you are going to eat the things you love, and by taking it slow and portioning it…

I make sure I can get even a taste of wine into my daily intake... I love my daily glass of wine! I use it like I use my exercise calories... if I'm really hungry I'll cut it out/eat it back. But lately that hasn't been an issue. ;)

It's definitely possible!! TAKE PICTURES! You'll be able to confirm that the difference you are feeling is showing. Even 8 lbs makes a huge difference when toning is involved... Also, don't be worried if you fluctuate a bit. You may just be gaining muscle. Try to take measurements also so you don't get discouraged when the…

My ideal is on my tikker... Marilyn Monroe! Curvy, sexy, thin & beautiful. =) She has my body type so I feel like it's something I can achieve.

You do not look morbidly obese!! You & I are alike in one way... unhealthy BMIs and bodies that are good at hiding it (except I'm like the rest of the crowd and think I look worse than I do, haha). Because I was able to hide it so well, it's taken me until now to decide I really have to take losing weight & getting in…

Top Reason: 4 But it is definitely a combo of 2-4, haha.

Fresh report on my attempt at cooking with turnips since spotting this thread: I made vegetable soup yesterday (potatos, carrots, turnips) and with some milk, some butter, and a few seasonings I now have enough delicious food for a week for just over 100 calories a serving... So I am now a fan of turnip, haha. I wrote down…

That is awesome!! Soon it will become habit! Keep it up. =)

haha, O Carbonation, we all crave you from time to time! I'll be checking in tomorrow! I resisted the urge for an early weigh in this morning... we shall see if stricter calories and more exercise have made a dent...

My two cents... walking is super good for you and I've *heard* that it's better for weight loss. Running burns more calories, but you have to work up to it. I recommend C25K if you want to start running! My whole life I've said I hated running... until C25K. ;) I just finished Week 3 Day 1 today and I am so proud of…

I second the swimming! Maybe try yoga or pilates, strength training... And do stuff outside! If you have time in the mornings, go for walks (walking is so good for you...), go on hikes, go swimming in lakes or play in creeks (hopefully you don't live in a desert!). But I took a look at your food diary... not sure what your…

Woo, five days! That's going to take some good planning... As far as the fresh stuff goes: get your fresh fruits & veggies under-ripe when you buy them (and a few ready to eat that day). Fruits & veggies are meant to be stored at room temperature (I only keep mine in the fridge because that's where my storage space is,…

DEFINITELY DEFINITELY DEFINITELY Greek yogurt!! It has tons of protein and you can put stuff in it (honey, berries, granola). It's the only way I made it from 7:30-12:30 on a daily basis. =) I also eat 2 eggs and a piece of toast every day, but it wasn't until I added the Greek yogurt that I noticed a difference.…

Before & after pics have been my saving grace!! These are astounding! I can't believe that's only 5 pounds, you look so great!!

That is SO awesome!! Way to go! That's my goal weight, you've inspired me. <3

I'm lucky enough to live a block away from a track, with fountains stationed at the halfway points (so I don't need to bring water), and plenty of places to tuck away my bag with inhaler, phone, and house keys (if I'm the only one home when I leave). We are moving in 2 months, and at that point I'm hoping I'll be trained…

C25K is for beginners!! I thought I hated running... until I got through Day 1 of C25K. It's been really fun ever since! I start Week 3 tomorrow!!

I am a reform(ing) snacker! I recommend 1/2 c of Greek Yogurt with some honey for snacks... that stuff sticks to your bones! Or always keep a supply of fresh, cut up fruits or veggies measured out in portions ready to grab. =) You can do it... just stick with it! =)

That... only CANDIED pecans... mmmm..... it's great on arugula or red leaf.

That is so great!! =D
