A few things: LEARN TO MAKE YOUR OWN FOOD FROM SCRATCH... if you can follow directions you can follow a recipe... If you are willing to put in the extra time to cook and make food for yourself you will save LOADS of money. Cooking is just like anything else; if you practice you will get better at it. I'm confident enough…

Another Greek Yogurt fan here! I like this thread, I'm excited to try some new things... sweet potato, pumpkin & turnips... oh my!

Do this around your image urls (without the spaces): [ img ] url [ /img ] And great job!! Keep it up! =D

I listen to a mix of things... sometimes playlists, sometimes albums... here are a few of my workout go-tos: * Modest Mouse * The Knife * M.I.A. * Benjamin Blower * The Velvet Teen * Kanye West * David Bowie * Shearwater I like to workout to music that has solid beats and is either really intense or really fun & uplifting.…

Lost a pound! Yay! Only 6.5 pounds to go... =P I would love to see some serious schlepping of this poundage... I'm trying not to eat back my exercise calories to hopefully expedite the process. So far so good! I definitely don't feel like I'm starving between meals, which is a huge victory on this lower calorie diet. =)…

We usually just throw whatever is available in a pot & call it good! ;) Whatever is available usually includes: black beans, tomatoes, onion, peppers, cumin, salt & pepper, corn, chili powder, and garlic. Or whatever else we've got... Then we blend about 1/3 of the mixture, stir it back in, and serve over rice or corn…

Yeah, if it's water weight. I try to only weigh once or twice a week, and always when naked right after I pee first thing in the morning. Consistency is key to keep from driving yourself crazy!! ;)

I have the Charcoal Versalette waiting for me to order it when I meet my goal! In the past I haven't used rewards, and in the past I've never met my goals, haha. So I asked my hubby if we could splurge if I actually met my goal, because I didn't think I actually could... he agreed, and I think I may surprise us both. ;)…

Same thing happens to me on Sunday afternoons! As a matter of fact, that's what happened yesterday, haha. We used to order larges... now we only get smalls and we can't even finish the whole thing! I had 4 pieces, which are about the same as 2 large pieces, and I'm looking forward to 2 more for lunch and for my hubby to…

A few ideas: * Stop using e-mail for office communications * Use the bathroom furthest from your desk (and drink the full recommended 8 glasses a day!) * Always take the stairs * Park a block or more away from your office building * Use those breaks!! Walk around the block during your 10 minute breaks in the morning &…

That would be me! I always take Sundays off, just to prove I can "quit whenever I want," haha. ;)

I use this spreadsheet-->http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=0x788x27553109 (download from the site) to calculate the calories I burn. It's pretty accurate (when compared to MFP's estimations of the same workout).

Definitely not!! ;) It's still nice to pretend, haha.

I do yoga on my off-days but I'm thinking about incorporating some Zumba on my off-days too just to expedite my weight loss goals. =) I do some strength training after my regular M, W, F workouts (which are now in the form of C25K workouts). ;)

Hey all! I'm Ciara, 21 years old, married to an avid runner (6-8miles 3X/week), and lifelong running HATER... I have had asthma since I was a child. But, I discovered that my asthma wasn't affecting me so much when I kept up with regular exercise (surprise, surprise) and one day on vacation, as I was walking on the beach,…

I'm in the middle of week 2 but I would love to join!

My husband ruined my calorie count last night by putting a bowl of bread chunks and spinach dip out on the table... cruel man. He had no idea. So this happens to me too. =) The trick is smaller portions!! Take only half, then when you finish that half, eat half of the remaining half, and so on. Also, eat SLOWLY... the…

A small piece of Dark Chocolate is a great mid-afternoon pick-me-up and has several health benefits, as have been described. ;)

Same here! I actually gained. =( I recommend taking measurements also, and keep track of your fitness! That's how I got through today when the scale went backwards. =P I saw that I'm still losing inches and able to do even more of my workout! It's hard to keep momentum & motivation when nothing changes (or gets worse), but…

You've done great in just 6 weeks!! It's a slow process... one day you'll realize what a huge change it is! It kind of sneaks up on you. =) Be patient and keep it up!

That is awesome!! Yay!!

Hmmm, I'm going to give it a shot! I love pumpkin. =) Maybe I'll mix it into my yogurt in the mornings!

Every day I have 2 poached eggs & a slice of whole wheat toast. I've also been having a 1/2 c of Greek Yogurt & honey. Sometimes I have tea or coffee and I put cream & sugar in those. I usually have a piece of fruit mid-morning as well. Breakfast is my favorite meal and I never get sick of eating the same thing every day.…

Ouch... I feel bad for both of them. I have no right to talk about aging (being only 21) but health shows through at every age, it just looks different at every age and no amount of creams (or "rabbit food" diets) will help if you aren't willing to do the work. =P

Awesome, thanks for sharing!!

I always take Sundays off of counting (and I try to avoid the internet the whole day as well) but I don't call it cheating, I call it a break! It's more for my mental state than anything else... I'm not a binge eater so I'm not in danger of going WAAAAY over a healthy amount of calories, but I allow myself healthy portions…

Good luck! I finished Week 2 Day 2 today and I love it so far (although I gave up the first day and had to repeat it, but that's because I way overdid it). Go at your own pace, pick some good tunes, and enjoy it!

Thanks for the hilarious review (I am quite the fan of gif-reviews... especially when they throw in one of David Bowie... which seems is often) and the chance to spare myself an atrocious read! ;)

"I am physically incapable of running." I am now on Week 2 of C25K and loving it. =)

Gained 1.5 lbs. =( But I'm still losing inches and gaining strength! But now I have doubts that I can make this goal... we'll see. Come on pounds, go away already!!
