I work with a girl who has one. She used it for just a few weeks before giving it up as "too much work." I showed her mfp and she said, "You get to do all that for free?!" I do have a heart rate monitor that allows me to track my calories burned, but it was only $60 or so, as compared with the $350 for the bodybugg. It's…

I break my "meals" up into 6 hour blocks, midnight to midnight. Some days I'm up 20 or 24 hours, so it makes it easier for me to account consistently.

That's because we deserve it! And home depot doesn't do enough advertising. Maybe you'd like a table saw for Valentine's Day, but no one told us to get you one.

Limit your margaritas! :) It's vacation. Have fun. Do a lot of swimming. Jog on the beach. Don't eat EVERYTHING you want. And back on track after you get home.

I actually weighed myself clothes with shoes the last time so I would have a preview of what I would weigh at the office. I was still 3 or 4 pounds heavier according to his scale than mine.

I weigh 5 pounds more at the doctor's office and at work than my scale. But my scale at home is the one I started with, so that's my yardstick. But I won't be weighing myself at work anymore. :)

Keep going! It will! Love the ticker, by the way. My wife and I had a Domo cake at our wedding. :)

I'm in the market for a video...I don't have a gym and wouldn't be able to take class. But I would LOVE to have one of the videos to mix up my current workout. I don't know what to get, though. There's so much Zumba out there!

There used to be a clothing exchange on obesity help that you could donate clothes to others on their journey. It was a nice thing. I sent stuff to several people and got a few things for my in-between sizes. I can't find anything like that this time around. Just asking around about who needs the sizes I have and I'll be…

Look beyond the scale! Don't measure your success or failure that way. Pay attention to the changes in your measurements and the way your clothes are fitting. It's still pretty early in the game for you to get discouraged yet. You may have lots of weeks where the scale doesn't move but things are rearranging in other ways.

I love raisin bran! But it has quite a few calories. I also like all bran garlic and herb crackers. I don't know how much fiber is in them, but I think it's quite a bit.

Mmmmm...angel food cake and frozen yogurt! Yum!

I expect my friends to understand that this is a journey that will have successes and failures. I expect support and not judgment. Suggestions, not accusations. But I'm sensitive and get my feelings hurt easily.

Me, too! Been with MFP for 3 months, though, and only 15-20 pounds to go to get back to my post-surgery low. And the best way, this time, with proper nutrition and exercise. Good luck!

I've never done her yoga DVD, but I love Denise Austin's Pilates DVD.

Morningstar has plenty of veggie options! I'm a vegetarian and always trying to recruit more.

Calories! And fat, sodium, etc. Americans aren't fat because we eat enormous grilled chicken salads. We're fat because we eat biggie fries and whoppers. And our "snack bags" of potato chips have 3 servings in them.

I've been going over my calories pretty consistently. Which had me depressed for a while. Then I started thinking about how much my eating habits have changed. Okay. I did eat 2 oreos. But I did not eat half a bag of oreos, which I would have done before. Any victory is a small victory. Any improvement, no matter how…

I am a big time snacker. I cannot keep myself out of the kitchen at night. I just make sure I have extra calories at the end of the day, because I probably will have the willpower to have a reasonable snack, but I WILL NOT have the willpower to not snack. I also work 7PM to 7 AM 3 nights a week. Those nights I do pretty…

My dietician told me I could count anything with no calories and no caffeine as water. So no on the coffee by her rules.

I'm just thinking I wish I'd measured myself in centimeters! That sounds so much more exciting than having lost 2 inches here or there.

Plus the salad bar is the best ever!

Pack a cooler! I have a hell of a time eating when I'm not at home. I get sick a lot when I try to eat out because it's not the kind of thing I usually eat. Good luck!

I take a lot of salads, which only take me a few minutes to put together, and you can make them ahead of time, too. Cottage cheese and tomatoes, yogurt, bananas. The sodium in one item isn't too terrible if you can break even with the rest of the day. I wish I'd made myself a salad for tonight...
-
Since I'm calorie counting, I have found that most of my food is vegetables. Like tonight I'm making hot dogs for my wife and I (Yves Good Dog for me). I'll probably make french fries for her and green beans for myself. I do eat a fair amount of "fake" meat. Bacon in BLT's, biscuits and gravy, veggie burgers, dogs. I also…

Solid progress! I know you're feeling much better! :flowerforyou:

Oooooh. My new very favorite thing is York mini patties. Only 50 calories per patty, and the mint is so strong that the taste stays with you for a long time. So I have no trouble eating only one. I also am using swiss miss sensible sweets no sugar added hot chocolate. 60 calories and it's so yummy!

Probably has a lot to do with each of you feeling undesireable due to the weight gain and body insecurities. The question is not really will it get better with weight loss. The question is, what can you do on a daily basis to make yourself and your husband feel more desireable? Yes, losing weight will probably spark some…

At a 40 inch chest measurement (under the breasts) I was about halfway extended on my chest belt, but I wear mine fairly loosely. Looking at your picture, I wouldn't expect it to be a problem at all. Mine is elastic, so even if it was a little uncomfortable, I would expect it to fit almost everyone.
