I know losing weight can cause gallstones but I've never heard about kidney stones. The only thing I've heard of "causing" kidney stones is high calcium intake. Some of the urologists I used to work with recommended drinking a lot of cranberry juice and lemonade (for acid) and avoiding milk and dairy.

That sounds awesome!

It's not just the oil. It's the garbanzo beans. They're like 70 calories for 1/4 a cup of them or 500 calories for a can. I made my own and it's something like 110 calories for 2 tablespoons. And since I can eat a cup of it because it's so yummy, it's a bad idea for me. I had to send a lot of it out with friends the last…

Whew! Good luck with all that! Hopefully you'll feel a bit more upbeat after the gym!

I love hummus! But it's kind of expensive calorie-wise. Like equivalent to salad dressing. :-/ I used to eat a lot more of it before I tracked my calories.

Is your question why am I always hungry or why aren't I losing weight? You didn't say how long you've been at it. It may be that you're losing fat and gaining muscle, in which case the scale won't move. Have you been measuring or taking pictures?

I have shred it with weights. I don't use it daily. Couple times a week. I think she's trying to kill me. Ha ha. I feel like it's the most effective workout I'm currently doing.

I eat chocolate nearly every day. Within my calorie limits. Today I had 2 york mini patties, and I'm getting ready to eat a 100 calorie pack of chocolate frosted cupcakes. If I tried to eliminate chocolate entirely from my diet, I would be way too frustrated to cope. I'd binge eat all the time.

I would love to have extra calories to spend on the peppermint mocha, the gingerbread latte, a nice caramel macchiatto. Sigh...I do enjoy the skinny caramel macchiatto from Starbucks. I can usually talk myself out of one if I tell myself I'm going to have a cup of coffee with a tablespoon of one of my yummy creamers. It's…

Thanks. And I hope things are looking up for you.

Totally agree. The scale told me something like 169.8 the other day, which is less than half a pound from my last weight. Still, I thought WOO HOO! Under 170!

I think the calorie counting goes a long way toward helping with lifle change. I always told myself, like everyone else does,"I don't know why I'm so heavy. I really don't eat that much." Then I started tracking and realized the extent of my delusion. Wait, all that adds up to 3000 calories for today? :embarassed: I hope…

Shred with weights, Pilates with resistance bands and the shake weight a couple times a week. My arms are getting rockin'.

I'm currently drinking too much swiss miss sensible sweets no sugar added hot chocolate. It's 60 calories, and so warm and chocolatey and yummy. I also like chai tea with just a little sugar and skim milk. The spice in it convinces me that I'm drinking something closer to coffee than tea.

Well, I can tell you that my inner Beyonce has not appeared yet, either, and I'm down 25 pounds. So I wouldn't be looking for her yet. I don't see much difference in my progress pics but my clothes tell a different story. I don't think it's unusual to have a drastic weight loss the first week. Mine was something…

I have several workouts that I use. Walk or jog, Pilates, Shred, Hip Hop Abs, a fat-burning cardio DVD, hiking. I rarely do the same thing more than twice a week. I get bored easily.

Warming up a little here in the Midwest. Have an awesome, wicked calorie burning hike planned for this afternoon!

Now that I've read this, I feel like I want to go home and make seitan fajitas. Yummy!

Love the socks! Best of luck on your journey. You are in the right frame of mind to start it.

Chinese. Ouch. Good luck!

I know I have lots of difficulties with resentment. If I deny myself what I want, it just makes me mad. But I can usually limit myself to a half a serving or just a few bites.

I hope you find the site to your liking!

I usually feel better after my workout if I've killed myself the day before and can't walk. Helps to get those muscles warm and stretched out again. I might take it just a little easy depending on HOW sore I'm feeling.

110 calories for a 1/2 cup of low fat cottage cheese and 5 grape tomatoes. Had one this afternoon! Yum. I also use bananas a lot. One is around 100 calories, lots of filling fiber, and they're easy to eat anywhere.
-
My new favorite is cottage cheese and grape tomatoes. I don't know how much of a portion would get you 100 calories, but a full serving and 5 grape tomatoes is like 130 calories, or something like that.

Nice work!

Sounds good. WAAAAAAY to cold for that here, but I'll remember it for this summer.

Eating mine now. Very enjoyable!
