  • Yesterday was the first time I worked out while on my period, haha!! I ALWAYS used it as an excuse, and then would be back to most of my old habits by the time it was over. I am working out again today! And I'm still super motivated!
  • I love hummus and carrots!! Hummus is delicious, low cal, and healthy! There are several different flavors too. I love them all.
  • Well, I work at a hospital, in the Medical Records dept. We are not allowed to leave the hospital on our lunch :( Plus it is turning pretty cold outside now so I wouldn't be able to enjoy it! Especially if I walked at 5:00 in the morning! I have a cardio video I did when I first started. It helped me lose weight quicker…
  • Thanks for all the help and advice everyone :) I am going to try waking up at 5:00 instead of 5:30. Hopefully I can manage that, there is no other time to get in a work out on the days that I work! You are right, I do NOT want to waste all that hard work I put in to lose those 14 pounds!! I can't gain it back. Thanks guys!
  • Wow, you really ARE busy! I couldn't do that... But yeah, it does make sense to decrease my calories on days I can't work out. I'm off every tuesday and thursday, so on those days I need to be better about fitting in some cardio of some kind!
  • I guess I could do my workout in the mornings.. I normally get up at 5:30 anyway, to have some coffee, read my devotional, and watch some news before I have to get ready for work. That is usually my only time to myself, but I may just start getting up at 5:15 instead... Thanks for the help. I just am not used to being so…
  • Thats impossible for me!! I CANT quit my coffee... Or all the yummy flavors of coffeemate creamer!! lol! I just work around it :) That's my treat every day!
  • Mine started when I was in 2nd grade. We went to the Smokey Mountains the summer before school started back, and we were all walking through one of the trails in the mountains. I was walking far ahead of my family and they kept trying to call me back with them, but I was wanting to go fast. So they decided to scare me a…
  • What?? That doesn't even make any sense. Sin does matter, but it is human nature to sin. duh. Ask for forgiveness.
  • Saw your last post about how this was a joke.... BUT. Just wanted to say that I am a Christian with 2 tattoos! And I promise I'm not going to Hell..... It's people like YOU who give Christians a bad name!!! Sure it's a sin. Just like any other... but that's what forgiveness is for :) God is my Hero.
  • If you TRY to stay withing your calorie limit MOST days of the week, you still should be able to lose weight, just slower than normal.. Are you able to walk at all? Just walking outside for a few minutes would even help! Eat the casseroles... Just smaller portions, with lot's of veggies! It will only SLOW your weight loss,…
  • I have the same problem... I ended up telling him that I couldn't change without his help. After he felt like he was supporting me, and "coaching" me through my weight loss, it was a lot easier to introduce him to new, healthier foods. I try to let him pick his breakfast and lunch on his own. But for supper, we all eat…
  • Wow, already can see a big difference! That's awesome! Keep it up :)
  • Need to stay within your calorie limit during the weekends as well. I used to do the same thing, and was frustrated bc I was not losing the weight. Started doing better on the weekends and the pounds started to come off. Also could be because of your workouts. When you gain muscle, they retain water for a few weeks. After…
  • Today I'll stay on track because I want to look and feel like I did only 4 short years ago.
  • Congratulations on losing 41 pounds so quickly! That to me is great motivation!! I hope to lose that much soon too. You shouldn't get down about this road block. It happens to everyone. It does seem like you are burning a lot of calories at work, but you need to buy a HRM and see for yourself how many you burn at work. MFP…
  • Most everyone who does strength training while "dieting" doesn't lose as much as quickly as you would if you were only doing SOME cardio 3 or 4 days a week. It takes longer to see results when you are doing what you're doing, especially since you are a taller woman, and not very overweight. But, on the up side, you're…
  • Thanks for all this advice ladies. I just hate when I get in these moods.. Didn't think it would last almost 2 weeks. I just don't enjoy working out... And when it's that time of the month, it's even worse. I wish I was one of those women who enjoy working out, but I'm just not. :( After this week, I am going to start back…
  • I HAVE to have my coffee. Always in the morning, but sometimes even around 3:00 in the afternoon. I love it so much, and that is the ONE thing that I will not change. I use whatever creamer I feel like using that morning. International Delight... MMM!!! I always use artificial sweetener, but creamer is never Fat free,…
  • Thanks guys! That helps :)
  • I hope so!
  • YES. I always substitute for mustard. it's great on salads too :)
  • That sounds like it would taste better and be more satisying than what I had. You would think something like THAT would acually be less healthy. But it really isn't.
  • Yep, your right! I guess we have to learn things the hard way sometimes. I'm still pissed though, lol.
  • Uh... I cook bacon at home and it's still fairly healthy. Thanks.
  • I buy heads of lettuce..
  • Yes, the first and last pic are my favorites. You looked way too thin in the 2nd pic. In my opinion, when I see bones sticking out, it's too thin. I would drop the boyfriend and find someone who loved you the way you are now. The healthy way!
  • I have tried many different diets, and when I found this website, something just clicked and I've been losing the pounds ever since :) I love MFP, hopefully you will too!
  • You are awesome :) You will reach your goal in no time with that attitude. It's ok to eat something like that every once in a while, as long as you burn it off! You are an inspiration to me, and I'm sure to a bunch of other people here. You should be a writer, by the way! Loved your post!
  • Exactly what I was going to say. Also if you are doing insanity, your muscles will retain water which makes it seem like you are gaining weight. Stop weighing for a month, and by then your muscles will be strong enough to get rid of the water weight! Also measure. You can lose inches but not weight as yours muscles become…
