Help!! :(

This is starting my third week of MFP. The first week, I lost 4 pounds. Second week, 3 pounds. This week, I GAINED 2 and 1/2 an inch???
What is happening?
I started Jillian 30 Day Shred this week, and the only time I went OVER my calories was yesterday at Arby's, but burned them off late last night by doing 30 minutes of Jillian's Burn Fat Boost Metabolism...
So why the 2 pound gain? Why did I gain 1/2 an inch? So confused and frustrated with myself.

Yup, sounds like sodium. Never let a pound or two discourage you, always look at the BIG picture which is losing 5 lbs over 3 weeks- amazing!

Your going to go up and down on the scale (I only weight in once a monthbecause it would drive me crazy). I have weighted 5lbs different all in one day so just keep it up and those 2 lbs will go away.

First off you didn't mention this but if you are constantly weighing yourself .. STOP!!!! Don't get jacked up over the scale number... its not about that .. The scale number is just one of many ways to determine your progress.. How you feel, how your clothes fit, notice you have more energy than before, are all WINs in the war to get healthy. Don't worry about the scale number so much ..

Now that being said...... Your body weight will move 1 -5 pounds up or down all the time, food goes in, food goes out, water goes in, water goes out etc etc.. Its not always as simple as oh I ate this and I can make it disappear right away by running 5 miles..

Your body stores when it needs to store, it burns when it needs to burn ... We are wonderful biological machines. Up your intervals on checking the scale.. Tune your self to your body and feel the differences your eating right and exercising are making... That is the real progress..
  • Thanks guys! That helps :)
