Thanks for sharing this. My husband and I actually talked about this the other day. I set a goal and gave myself a deadline and I'm getting discouraged about it, but I need to remember that I have time!

Will do! I love lifting too and I want to cut down on some of the cardio I've been doing as well. I'll give it 3 months and take progress pictures and such.

5'3" here and just changed my calories from 1,900 to 1,700. Turns out 1,900 is my maintenance. Been maintaining around 140 pounds for almost 2 months. Want to get to 130! I strength train 3x a week and dance twice a week and take classes here and there when my work schedule allows it. ETA: I eat back exercise calories too.

I usually burn between 200-250 on 30DS. I haven't done it in a while though.

I try to weigh once a month. Sometimes I'll go for a week or so where I weigh everyday, then I feel obsessive, THEN I break up with the scale. There seems to be no in between for me. I'm onto the last 9 pounds, so close to my goal, it's hard to not be focused on the number.

Just just had to have my rings sized down from a 6 to a 5 1/2 after 30 pounds. They weren't falling off, but loose enough to bother me and they kept rotating which was annoying.

I would make fish tacos. Throw the fish in a skillet with chopped cilantro, tomato and jalapeno with some lime juice. Break up the fish as it cooks. One of my favorites.

I occasionally feel the same way. When I do, I put a measuring tape around my waist where I started and see how I'm much smaller. I can run faster, jump higher, I sleep better. Try focusing on the other positives to becoming healthy. Also, try strength training to give your body more shape!

Something clicked. I had a close friend who was having success using MFP and we are similar in size, so I decided to see what it was all about. I had never tried losing weight before, I didn't think I had to. I thought that I was destined to look the way I looked.

5'2" here and lost all my weight eating 1,600+. Currently eating 1,800 a day - on the last 10 pounds. I've always eaten back exercise calories when I can too.

I would eat at TDEE -20% and don't eat back exercise calories.
