My guess is that you're using different muscles. I'm just the opposite. I can run for 4+ hours, but 30 minutes on the bike or elliptical is TOUGH for me. It may be a little bit mental, too. You just haven't conditioned yourself physically or mentally for that specific exercise.

I don't drink on training runs unless it's hot or I'm running more than 12 miles. I often try to run by a water fountain on summer runs. If it's in the 90's or hotter, I'll carry 20 ounces of water on a three mile run, just in case. Until you know your body and what it can handle, it's better to have the water and not need…

I read on my kindle (large font) while I run on the treadmill. Sometimes I read because I want to run, sometimes I run because I want to read. :)

I eat something "bad" every day, just not a lot of it. Life is too short not to eat dessert! Saving 100-200 calories for my treat helps me stay focused on eating healthy throughout the day. -Hershey kisses and Snickers Mini's are awesome little rewards. :)

Exactly, it's about portions. Less of the "bad" stuff and fill the rest of the plate with fruits and veggies!
