  • I tried wheat belly for a few months but it wasn't sustainable as a broke college student haha :) I do still eat the pancakes sometimes because they're super filling and easy! I lost about 5 lbs of water weight in that time and didn't really see much if a difference. I did feel great though
  • You can do it! You are stronger than the craving! When I feel an urge to eat too much junk, I go for a walk or have a big glass of water or green tea. Or I allow myself one little treat and log it and then get out of the house and do something.
  • I have a friend who binges when he's upset about major life changes. Maybe you need to meditate or write in a journal. That's what helps him. The next time you feel the urge to binge, go for a walk or call a friend. Feel free to add me as a friend or message me for support. I've had friends with binge problems so I'd be…
  • I drink folgers or Gevalia decaf. Gevalia is slightly more expensive but it is good
  • I weigh every day too and log it into a spreadsheet. I just started so after two weeks I'm going to graph it and see if it's going down. I never had success weighing weekly, it was disheartening
  • Walk a lot and swim a lot! The Caribbean has amazing snorkeling and diving too. Keep busy and don't stress about it too much. Have fun!
  • As a college student myself I understand the difficulty. but it's do-able! I lost about 10 lbs over the last school year and it was not easy. Here's some of the things I ate, pretty much on a daily basis: oatmeal with peanut butter, eggs, protein shakes and bars, apples, turkey and cheese sandwiches on whole grain bread,…
  • For quick and filling breakfasts I love overnight chia seed pudding with berries (around 350 cal), oatmeal with peanut butter (260 cal), greek yogurt and a banana or protein bar (around 260). Hard boiled eggs with avocado on toast is also delicious. I also find bacon to fill me up pretty well. If you only have a slice or…
  • I'm 5'8" and currently 145 lbs. I'm a size 4/6 now, was an 8/10 this time last year, and slowly moving towards a size 2. That's my goal at whatever weight it may be, probably around 130 - 135. I'm a small frame though. 150 lbs is a great goal weight for tall women! My dance teacher was 5'7" and 150 lbs and she looks…
  • I liked a few books on mindful eating. They helped me lose some bloat by focusing on healthy, sustainable habits. Amazon has tons of options. The books I read were called "savor" by thich niat hanh and someone else, and "mindful eating" but I don't recall the author
  • I'm 5'8" and 146 lbs and I have to eat between 1800 and 2200. Lower than that, I feel terrible. I work out a lot though and the more I eat the more energy I have to work out so it's always better for me to eat more. My bmr is also somewhere around 1400 so if I were you I would not eat 1200.
  • I'm 5'8", 148 lbs and wear a size 4. I was 155 and wore a 8/10. I've gained a lot of muscle since then!
  • Chia seed pudding, takes 5 minutes to make the night before and is ready overnight. Has lots of fiber and is very filling! There's tons of recipes online for different flavor variations
  • I totally understand where you're coming from. I first tried MFP 2 years ago, and I just came back to it. I know how discouraging it can be to track everything and not see the results as expected. But the point is to keep going and make healthy choices because weight loss isn't linear! You've made a great decision in…
  • I tried LCHF for a while, even did wheat-free for about 4 months a few years ago and lost 10 pounds. I just recently stopped the LCHF in favor of CICO. I'm very active and felt I couldn't do my workouts as intensely when I was low carb. Also, I couldn't eat some of the foods I really like that helped me drop 2 dress sizes…
  • Great progress!!
  • I find that if I eat more during the day, I eat less at dinner. I usually allow myself a pretty big protein-rich breakfast and lunch, maybe up to 500 calories each. I've also cut carbs down too 100g or so a day. Both of these strategies help me feel a lot less hungry at dinnertime and later. It does take some trial and…
  • I'm starting to eat LCHF today as well! I'm waiting for the weekend for grocery shopping to really get started though. Feel free to add me!
  • If you want a strong core, leg raises and bike crunches aren't going to be enough. I recommend adding the 30 day ab program on hasfit.com to your workout schedule. Their moves are more efficient than crunches, which don't do much. Just continue towards your weight loss goal and strengthen your core. It'll look flatter.…
  • I personally didn't like this workout at all. I didn't feel anything through most of it, my abs weren't burning at all. I highly recommend the hasfit.com 30 day to six pack abs program. Its only 5-10 minutes a day, 5 times a week and it has a calendar. It's on their website and the videos are linked to youtube. Very…
  • Hey there! Would love more friends. I'll add you!
  • My family was wheat free for a while when we thought my brother had a gluten problem. I highly recommend looking into the wheat belly diet book and cookbook if you haven't already. Just google it and tons of recipes and information is available for free online. You don't even have to buy the book Good luck!
  • You can try ebay for just the dvds, that's how I bought the containers since I only want those!
  • I'm 5'8" and currently a size 4 or a roomy 6. I weigh about 145 but want to be closer to 130
  • The "wheat belly diet" books have some gluten-free alternatives for bread. They're made with almond flour, coconut flour, flaxseed, etc. so they have lots of protein and fiber but few carbs. They're very filling. You can find a lot of the recipes online just by googling without having to buy any of the books. I recommend…
  • just getting back into this, would love more friends! feel free to add!
  • Wow look at you, so toned!!! Damn!!! Nice work :D
  • This made me laugh way too much
  • Wow. I'm so sorry. But I am happy that you are coming out of your shell. I am also extremely introverted, but I've changed recently too. Everyday, we grow a little bit more and a little bit more. You can be whoever you want to be.
  • I love grilled or oven-roasted asparagus with a squeeze of lemon juice and some black pepper. Yummy!!
