Hats off to all of you! I am such a warmer weather Cyclist! I just can't seem to get my self to bundle up to go for a ride, I usually head to the gym wants the weather drops into the 50's. So my bike has been collecting dust for a couple of weeks now : (

Happy November. Starting it off right, Heading to the gym for some cardio now! November for me will be finishing up this round of p90x. which will end on the 25th. Plus hitting the gym twice a week for cardio, since the weather no longer permits me to be out on my bike! I am thinking in December I may attempt Insanity : ).…

Great job! I was up to 2.5 miles without stopping, when I twisted my ankle 2 weeks ago, and have not been able to run since. It is a great accomplishment. I am a cyclist and had a hard time getting started running. I was doing the c25k as well, just hoping I don't have to start all over again, once my ankle is healed.

Couch to 5K is a great program and phone app! Thats what i used after not running for 25 years. Congrats on Stopping the smoking!!! Such a horrible way to throw toxins in your body!!!!

If you work out and eat a Plant Strong diet, It is very hard to eat enough! I never feel hungry, and I hardly ever get all my calories in! Engine 2 diet!!!!!! Give up the meat, the oil, and the dairy! Make a positive lifestyle change, and your body will reward you for it!

It will work for you if you use it, It is a way of holding your self accountable. You have to use common sense though and ignore all the ignorant people on here, and just try and find friends that are encouraging and supportive

Ii am 53 years young, I quit coloring my hair about 3 years ago, got tired of all the touch ups. Mine is solid white, and I keep it about shoulder length. I say go for it. It is too much maintenance once it gets to a certain point, and I figure after coloring for almost 30 years, it was time to embrace the white! I get a…

I do a chia fresca (chia seeds, water, lemon juice, honey) every morning before going on my ride, I find it helps keep me hydrated and adds some energy! So the fact that it helps in my workout, I guess that would also qualify in helping with weight loss. But if you are looking for a magic pill, nope!

I just worked through the soreness, don't give up, it is just your body changing. After a couple of weeks you won't feel sore anymore, unless of course you change something and use muscles you haven't used in awhile! Hang in there it will pass, just don't quit. I have found that if you take a week off of working out, you…

I did the 28day Engine 2 challenge in May of 2011, and never looked back. I feel so much better, have dropped 20lbs. I am 53 year old massage therapist. I can now go for a 26 mile bike ride in the morning and still do 5 or 6 hours of massage that day. This week I have added p90x back into the mix. I have done the p90x…

I do mine at home...P90x. But really all you need is some resistance bands and some 10lb dumbbells to get started. There is tons of information out there. Good luck
-
LOL! Thanks for reminding me why I am single!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
i think that P90x is good for toning, if you want an at home workout. It has a lot of variety, and a lot of strength training which is very good for toning!

Welcome back, you can add me if you like. I am a working Massage Therapist, cyclist, just restarted p90x, yesterday. Trying to stay in shape so I can do my job well, and feel better about life : )
-
I like P90X i just started my 3rd round of it yesterday! I like it because it has a lot of variety, although Tony gets a little annoying after a while! I have not tried Insanity, so I can't say what that is like. But from what I have heard if you are just starting out on a program like this, that maybe p90x first would be…
