  • Age: 28 Height: 5ft2 SW: 143 CW: 122 GW: 112 At my CW I do like the "size" I am, just not so much the shape (jiggle belly, bum and thighs LOL) so I would be happy to stay at this weight and just become more toned.
  • I am on day 4 day (it is 5.50am here right so not actually done it yet LOL) I also go to the gym and have found with the 30DS as well, that is has been great for my arms, but not so for my legs and abs. I end up doing another workout afterwards just focusing on lower body. That may change though when I go up a level LOL! I…
  • MFP needs a like button *like* I am just learning to "let go" of numbers and concentrate on my body image, also my confidence in my own skin. But I do like numbers, weights, inches etc... it all fascinates me... I think I am a bit sad LOL!!!
  • OK so I have just gone on a website that said based on my calculations, my BF% is 24% that good right? (there are people shaking their heads at me right now due to my thickness LOL) *BLUSHES* I am just learning about this stuff :)
  • How do you get your BF%? (feel so thick for asking that lol)
  • I have never been obese, I have been overweight and the upper end of overweight after having my children. I have lost a lot of weight and people say that I look good, but it is all good and well when I am clothed, however I see the horror of the jiggly belly and thighs when I undress. So just because I person is "thin"…
  • I actually really enjoy it, I think I like the fact it is a short routine so you give it all and don't really have time to wimp out if that makes sense.
  • WOW... Definitely what I want LOL! I am just coming to terms with the fact I am not so bothered about "weight" but more bothered about shape. I sooner be heavier and in better shape than weigh less and still be wobbly LOL
  • Thank you for your reply. I really enjoy the 30DS work out, I like that it feels like a decent workout in a short space of time. I would just like to know if it is OK to do the 30DS workout in a morning, then the gym in the afternoon? If so I would be able to get in the 30DS at least 4-5 days a week.
  • Yes, I can totally relate!! I did a post about this yesterday actually :) I am currently on my 2nd day of a flare up (blocked), my back is starting to ache and I am beginning to feel groggy! It is so frustrating, I have weighed daily and now understand a bit better the fluctuations when having flare up (either way) so now…
  • NO SUCH THINGS AS BAD FOOD... IMO All things in moderation! I love chocolate and sweets and also loads of other YUMMY foods LOL.
  • I am 5ft2 and 110 is the lower end of what I should weigh... To me that sounds very low for your height Rather than focus on the actual numbers, why not focus on your shape?
  • I have weighed myself daily as I suffer with IBS and knowing the fluctuations helped me. I will now weigh once a week on a Friday and will be better able to gauge any gains or loses depending on what my body is doing.
  • Thank you for your reply. I actually have stage 3 kidney disease and take loads of different meds for Blood pressure, cholesterol and Iron and I have to be careful with the amount of salt and water in my diet. Also certain over the counter meds I cannot take either. I see a renal consultant every 3 months and my next…
  • I lost some weight very slowly and no one noticed (not even me it was only because I weighed myself in Jan I found out I lost 10lbs over about 9-12 months lol) Then from Jan- Feb I lost another 9lb(ish) again no one really noticed as I was still wearing the same clothes as before... Then it happened... 50th birthday fancy…
  • I might be totally wrong here and may get a verbal bashing LOL... But... I have a 96 day time frame LOL... (Going on my first proper holiday in 14 years :)) I go to the gym twice a week Mon and Wed I was thinking of doing the 30DS Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday to hopefully "compliment" going to the gym. Not sure…
  • OMG, It is good to know I am not alone! I get so embarrassed about it sometimes, especially when I am on about day 4 of being "blocked up" and I feel all groggy and people ask me if I am OK... What do you say? "No I am not OK, I am literally full of S***!" LOL I will definitely look in to the more fiber and probiotics
  • Thank you for the replies. I can sometimes get disheartening when you work really hard then you weigh and gain. Because I have lived with it for so long I sort of forget about it and when I moan to DH about gaining he will ask when I last "went". Also sometimes I can be so naughty, but be the other way and lose weight...…
  • But why should someone stay away from the boards just because of a few people who can come across rather bullish in their approach to weightloss? What if the person has a question, should they think, I had better not ask in case someone is rude to me. Surely the point of the forum is for support
  • I think what has got my back up more is the fact that (from my own personal point of view) all this TDEE stuff is the ONLY single way to do it. I have nicknamed it My Fitness Preachers LOL. Every 'body' is different therefore weightloss is going to be different. I think a more friendly approach to the eat more would be…
  • Joined MFP in Jan 2012 weighing 143lb... I did not stay around. About September-ish 2012 I started eating smaller portion sizes Jan 2013 I came back and weighed 133lbs. New motivation and a kick up the bum I joined the gym Now in 2 months lost another 10lbs... have another 10 to go.
  • I have learned to plan for certain things, so for instance last weekend I knew I was going to an all you can Indian buffet, then Saturday out to London to a restaurant for a 3 course lunch, then on to a comedy club with food for the night. I knew I would gain, so mentally prepared myself for it. Secondly, my new favourite…
  • For me, I eat very small portions and barely eat more than 1000 calories, I am trying to get it up to 1200 calories, but I do notice that when I eat my usual 800-900 calories, I am fine, but when I eat 1000+ I feel sick and actually put weight on. I tried this eat more, lose weight thing and in 3 days I put on 5lbs!!! I…
  • 90 minutes in the gym is Warm up, bike 10 minutes Leg press 2x 20 reps Ab crunch 2x 20 reps Row 2x 20 reps Leg extension 2x 20 reps Elliptical cross trainer 15 minutes Treadmill 30 minutes Rowing machine 10 minutes Then floor work including weighted squats, kick squats, lunge squats, and several various ab work outs…
  • Top tip that worked for me. I got a body brush and twice a week in the shower I scrubbed my whole body, particularly focusing on my thighs in circular motions. After losing weight and doing this for 2 months the cellulite in noticeably reduced. Everyone has also commented on how lovely and soft my skin appears as well. Now…
  • Oh don't get me wrong, I do still "fancy" some foods, especially opinion rings, chocolate and ice cream. I was just really noticing that some of the things I used to love, turn my stomach, and foods that used to turn my stomach I am actually liking. Also, I would never give advice about what foods to eat, or exercise to…
  • He looks EXACTLY like that!!! He has now cut out beer, only has it when we go out (he used to have a couple of cans on the weekend and maybe one or two in the week) He stopped smoking last year and I think some of his weight and extra eating can be attributed to that. At work he would nip out for a smoke, but now has a bag…
  • Oh bum... I won't tell him that LOL...
  • Ahhh, I will tell him that as our fat has been a a bit of a debate, he ksaid to me that I lost weight easy because my fat was soft but his fat is hard... I pay for him to go to the gym I go to, you get a special key that you plug in to all the machines and it has your own personal programme on it, then you "check" out and…
  • We need a "like" button on here LOL! I can't eat Chinese food anymore, since having my children, it makes me so ill. I eat it and about 4-6 hours later, without fail I am violently ill... only the once and then feel OK.
