  • Thank you all so much for the comments. Both my husband and I work out and try to eat healthy (although we are naughty at times) we definitely want to ensure our children enjoy a healthy lifestyle. We have even been talking about doing the Park Run as a whole family thing! A family what WORKOUTS together, stays together…
  • He is in an athletics clubs after school one day a week (Tues) does and acting class (Tue Eve) and Street Dance (Sun) will be doing 5k Park Runs with me (Sat). I think he is also going to be doing the school's cross country competition. (He comes first in all the races) I am not really sure what they have here (I am in the…
  • Thank you, I just don't want to damage him, he is still so young and growing. He loves fitness, he is a super healthy eater, loves fruit and veg and always goes on about 'getting enough protein' lol, it's rather sweet and funny at times! I just want to be careful not to give him a complex about his body.
  • Thank you all so much for the replies, I really appreciate it.
  • LOL, I am a nice person :) thank you for your input as well x
  • Thank you so much... And Happy Birthday for this week!
  • I appreciate your reply, I can honesly tell you it is not a pitch. I have a few people who are interested in the shakes and so far the people who I get information from are linked some way to Arbonne, so I simply want an unbiased vew on the product itself, nothing to do with the company, whether you believe it is a scam or…
  • Thank you, that is really helpful. Does anyone else have any thing to offer? Perhaps the physical benefits one vs the other?
  • This was really hard for me, but mine was to make sure I ate a MINIMUM of 1200 calories a day... I always aim for 1400, but I only have a tiny appetite, and truth be told, I could probably get away with just eating one meal a day and not feeling hungry, but I know what is not healthy, so I try really hard to make sure I am…
  • Thank you for the replies. I have got scales and weigh my food. But I am not a big eater, my dinners are dished up on a side plate, and usually I find I cannot even eat all that, and my son has my left overs. I would say, what I manage to eat in one sitting is about the size of a fist (a ladies fist, not a big burly man…
  • Thank you for the replies. I know the days when I go way over, because they are the days when i can actually eat a proper breakfast, lunch and dinner, with snacks inbetween. Also the odd sneaky chocolate. I will try to keep a minimum of 1200 a day... Looks for a chocolate LOL... That is a joke BTW ;)
  • I don't buy any half-fat reduced-fat stuff, and I also cook with olive oil and add dressings to my salad. I eat what I want, when I want, I do not 'diet' I generally have a vaired diet of fruits and veg... I aslso enjoy pizza and "bad" food. I believe in everything in moderation. But because I have quite a few health…
  • Providing there is not an underlying health issue, then protein is generally okay, I have say, these answers do annoy me a tad, I have Kidney disease, so it is not always the case that more is always better... The only reason I knew I had a kidney issue was because I have had it since being a child, however, people can…
  • Box step ups, push ups, barbell squats, military lifts, sits up on the incline bench, something with the kettle bell (don't know if it has a name LOL) It is not the first time I have done the exercises. We did 45 secs each station, 4 sets, but I managed only 3 before feeling really sick! I ate at 4.30pm, went to the gym…
  • I will bare the food in mind actually! I do generally eat at about 4.30pm then go to the gym at 7pm, but I might try and eat a little later, or maybe eat little and often on my gym days. I really could not stomach food right now! I just really hope it is nothing to do with my Kidneys, I love going to the gym! Stupid…
  • AH-HA... That is what he called, I couldn't remember what he said it was, He said it was based on that. I did actually really really enjoy it at the time! Even want to do go back and do it again, but obviously, be a bit more careful next time and remember to stretch my legs afterwards!
  • Thank you for the reply. I do remember when I first did weights I ached, but NOT LIKE THIS! I can barely even sit down, going to the toilet is a mission LOL!! My children have even had to help me get about the house!!
  • I am 5ft2 and can teeter between 120-124lbs (not too fussed about my actual weight) I currently eat 1660 calories a day and go to the gym 3x a week doing a mix of circuit training and weight training. I have not lost weight, but I have lost inches and gone down a dress size. My jeans are fairly loose-ish now and I can…
  • We don't get that here unfortunately, but luckily, the gym I go to, there are three excellent trainers, I mean they are FAB! They have helped and supported me loads, but I have not been back since exercise advise, but they have said they will work with me. plus they also do my circuit training, so no doubt they will find a…
  • I am not asking any specific questions on here, I am on the motivation and SUPPORT board, to seek a bit of motivation and support... funnily enough. My docs do not want me to lose weight as I have a BMI of 22, In fact, I have lost weight that my blood pressure has come down slightly naturally, meaning I can take one less…
  • Oh here is my blog if anyone wants to read up more about it. Not that interesting though LOL http://scrapheaphuman.blogspot.co.uk/
  • I really like that quote!! Thank you, that is just what I needed X
  • Thank you so much for the reply. I live in Essex and was told that my care would be dealt with at a clinic near me, but a transplant would likely be done at Guy's Hospital. It is nice to have someone know what you are going through x
  • Thank you, I am still loving the gym and exercise the and benefit from losing so much weight is that my BP has come down so now I am able to drop one of my meds. Plus the gym is an excellent place to vent all the anger and frustration. It just annoys me that before when I was over weight, not exercising and not eating a…
  • 28yrs 5ft 2 Jan 133lbs April 120lbs Currently eating 1670 calories. I work out at the gym 3x a week doing a bit of cardio and super-sets with the barbell and TRX I am losing about 1lb per week, but I will be upping my calories soon as I don't want to lose too much more weight. Upping my calories has definitely helped!
  • Next time anyone makes a comment on your size reply with "Well you may THINK I am fat, but at least I can change that, you will always have an ugly personality!" I can't stand people who think they have a right to be so rude and unpleasant to another human being!
  • Hmmm, would have been more impressed if you said Samuel L. Jackson LOL
  • But isn't the point of a placebo effect, the fact that the person believes that what is said about a product to be true? I don't believe it, therefore it wouldn't work anyway LOL. On a side note, I love the word placebo ever since watching 51st State LOL!!!
  • I thought that would be the case, I am just surprised that my gym are advertising and selling them, but I s'pose it is all money for them at the end of the day. None of the instructors have ever actually mentioned it to me before, or ever tried to sell it to me. I am a very skeptical person anyway, and also enjoy the fact…
  • Anyone?
