Congrats on your success and for doing it the healthy way!

we use almond butter instead of tahini. its awesome.

I'd vote for the first one. there is often a lot of sugar and sodium hidden in Asian dressings. First one sounds lighter and delicious!

I completely agree with this. I know its easier said on a message board, then done in life, but take that powerful feeling and use it towards being an incredible cheerleader with great confidence. I am sure without even knowing you will inspire other people who didn't think they could do certain things because they don't…

Different brands have different textures. If you have a good Meditterean place near you, they usually make a great homemade hummus. Roasted red pepper hummus is delicious. I like trader joe's hummus, they have a variety one you can buy and try three different flavors in one container. It took me a few tries and brands to…

I agree you can definitely see a difference!! You look great! Typical weight loss is only 1-2 pounds a week not accounting for days that just aren't perfect days. It took me about the same amount of time to lose 25 pounds. You are on the right path, keep up the great work!!

If you are making the rice at home, you can make it with low sodium chicken brother instead of water for more flavor. I've never tried it with rice, but we cook our quinoa that way and its much better.

We are obsessed with ours. We only have been making smoothies too. Let me know if you want some good smoothie recipes. Did yours come with the cookbook? I've heard a lot of things in there are really good.

I use measuring cups and an electronic food scale for everything. It really does help. Sometimes I'm surprised by how much I can have for the serving size and it helps you learn to better gauge when you are eating out. It definitely helps me.

Another thing that is a favorite of mine is to take a portabella mushroom cap thats about the size of my palm, clean out the gills (the black ribbed part on the inside of the cap, just scrape gently with a spoon) and rub inside and out with a little olive oil. Sprinkle salt, pepper and garlic powder inside and then crack…

I used to hate them too and have found a new love for them. I think that it depends on the kind that you try. Some are more rubbery than others. I love crimini and portabella mushrooms. Fresh they have a nice texture (I am really picky about that!) Start by adding them to things, sauces, salads, etc. Portabella mushrooms…

Hi, In my experience I've been more successful with trainers and fitness experts who also do nutrition plans and counseling if you want the overall guidance of both opposed to just a nutritionist or two separate people. Most personal trainers also do nutrition counseling, so its about finding one in your area that does…

you can also look at the types of foods you are eating- healthier fats in higher calories such as avocado, almond butter, etc will increase your calories, but are also good for you. Also, if you are eating the 1400, you don't have to "eat back" your workout amounts. On the days I work out I'm on a plan to stay between…

your welcome to add me if you'd like!

Starting it tomorrow! Any suggestions of household items to use as weights until I can buy some this weekend?! :)

If you do want to do the Vitamix, they have refurbished ones, with a 5 warranty on their website for 350.00 or so (I just did a lot of research on blenders!!). Bed, bath, and beyond also will let you use the 20% coupon on it, so you save about 100.00. If you consider it lasting 30 plus years, which many report that they…

Mix whatever lite or fat free flavored yogurt you like and a little cool whip together and then freeze it. I also like to put it into mini pie crusts for healthier versions of "key lime pie" , "banana cream pie", etc.

Me too!! I'm on it more than FB now! Feel free to add me if you are looking for support!

Request sent :) Always looking for encouraging friends!

Thank you! What is TDEE?!

True, but I guess I'm wondering if I should be increasing it on all days, not just days I work out? Or if 1370 on all days is a good goal to stay with?
