@quilteryoyo Those look great on you! I never thought I would run in a skort, I have big ole thunder thighs, so the thought of anything cute for me to run in was out. It was what I could find that could fit my tree trunk legs that would stay down when I ran. When I started training for my duathalon, I got a pair of…

Haurumph! Guess the app likes you, @eleanorhawkins and @Avidkeo! Mine has the days circled, but only the next week of workouts spelled out. I thought at one point I could see them, but nothing now. It says the workout will likely change and I can only see them once I'm 10 days away from the scheduled run? And…

Argh! Isn't that frustrating? I usually like to have the whole training plan typed into my Google calender so I can plan and shift if I need to. And because I've been going faster then the scheduled pace, I've been marked down in my score. I'm currently being rated a "C", "so far, your overall discipline has been below…

I think that is a fab career choice! Im a "Hybrid", American on my dad's side, and his brother, my uncle Bob was a pilot, and on my mum's side I'm English, with my cousins in South Africa. My cousin Sean (who is now in Australia) is a pilot (used to fly Princes William & Harry around when they were there) and my other…

OMG, I'm on the first page? Thanks, @Elise4270 for getting it set up. I'm planning on keeping up with my March plan: running 2-3 times a week and completing my now virtual 5K on April 25th. Already got the kit from Virtual Race Series, "Rescue Paws". Donation to the ASPCA in memory of my girl, Emma.

Oh wow! I'm on a board on FB for the band Clutch (one of my fave bands!) and they have been blowing up the board about this show because I guess the main guy in it wears Clutch shirts. I thought it was a new series, didn't know it was a true crime, might have to check it out now.

I am thankful that I am healthy still (despite somehow being in the "high risk" category, over 50 & with asthma). That I can still run and walk, can still go to the store , do my schoolwork and function. Thankful that I have a safe environment that I can spend this time with my partner to wait this crazy period out. We…

@kgirlhart Like @shanaber I wrapped my girl. I did have a Thundershirt when we moved at the time of my divorce (2015) and it worked wonders. I loaned it out and never got it back. Drats. When I was getting ready to move (2019), she started stressing again, so I used a scarf & wrapped her and it did work.

@rheddmobile I have periodically done some of the virtual runs on "Virtual Pace Series" if I like the medal and, most importantly, the charity it supports. There have been several others that I have seen on-line, and some of the races I've seen have offered a virtual option. (The Hot Chocolate 15K is an example) For me, I…

Decided to take a "Rest and repair day" on Saturday instead of scheduled run as my right ankle was hurting too much on Friday just walking around the apartment. Had planned to go to the Y today & start strength training again, but I had to get a recall done on my car, then the crazy 4 grocery stores & 3 counties to find a…

If it were a video in a medical setting, I would understand. However, it looked like she was in a public setting, airport or such.

March goal: get back to running 2-3 days per week. 5K in April 3/3 - Ran 1.76 miles (total run: 1.76 miles) 3/4 - Walk 3.3 miles (total walk: 3.3 miles) Thank you to everyone who commented on Emma. Wow - did not expect a debate to break out! TBH, @janejellyroll, you did touch on a few areas that I was thinking of, that's kind of why I put this up. Even though I was planning on taking my supplements, I have been vegan/vegetarian long enough to know my body - enough. For example, even though I don't generally eat eggs,…

The reason I was planning it was because I am out of control again with my eating. No matter how I try to rein it in, I do well for a while, then "crack" and the next thing I know, I'm adding cheese to everything, munching on chips, adding that little "extra" something....and the pants that used to fit are now tight. The…

March goal: get back to running 2-3 days per week. 5K in April 3/3 - Ran 1.76 miles (total: 1.76 miles) Found a guided Nike run "Easy Run". Got ready, cued it up...and Mother Nature welcomed me with a nice snowfall! I let Coach Bennett help be through the paces and next thing I knew, I had done it, snow and all. Walk…

January my uncle died, and in February I was in England with my mum helping to sort his estate, clear out the house and have his service & internment. I got back last week on Sunday & on Tuesday, I had to make the painful decision to put my faithful companion (aka my "fuzzy daughter") of 14 years, my Emma, to sleep thanks…

You! You played in my head this morning. You posts here and on Strava - thank you! I hurt my knee last week after my New Years Day run, so I rested it, then have this wierd cold-y thing settling in, right in the throat & chest area now. I rested over the weekend, and slacked on yesterday's ST workout. I was strongly temped…

Monthly Questions How are the new goals going? Umm...ok, I guess? Decided on a plan, just need to get to it. Are you on track? Umm....kinda? Last week, I majorly hurt my right knee, while that is feeling a bit better, now I have a cold trying to take hold, 1st one in a bout 2 years? And now it seems to be settling in the…

I was planning on doing a walk yesterday, but my right knee was painful, so I thought, no biggies, I'll just flip days, rest and walk today, run on Sat, rest Sun & start the Hidgon 8K plan on Monday. Welp, this morning, just a continuation on a theme I'm afraid. Knee is still very painful, hurts to straighten, then hurts…
