@skippygirlsmom No April thread yet. We are playing roulette as to who sets it up. Wanna take it?2

6.4 hot and sunny miles here today, no word yet on whether Marathon is still on at the beginning of June but going to train for it, regardless.6

I think I might skip Apr. Will see. Since races are cancelled and I am trying to heal injuries... not sure how long I should stop running to heal, but I detrain fast. So I am already fat even before stopping (temporarily) running. Now I'm getting even more fat, if that was even possible, and have zero aerobic capacity left. By the time Instart running again, whenever that happens, it will be like starting over again. Maybe Apr. sometime or maybe May.8 -

Well. Maybe April needs to be a dual challenge of some sort. Ya'll think on it. I don't mind setting it up, I'm just not running (and can goof it up), and offer the chance to anyone interested to step in.

I really doubt you are fatter than me. In photos and IRL, I look more thin than I really am. I've mastered the art of hiding it. But over the past 2 weeks, even hiding it has become more and more difficult. Good thing I'm not seeing anyone these days.1 -
@skippygirlsmom It is also a food. In my case it's a reference to the lyrics in a Sonic Youth song ("Dirty Boots").
You aren't the only one who can't sew, I don't have a crafty bone in my body. My grandmother, mom, and sisters are all great at it and I'm all thumbs. But I did buy a knitting starter kit with the hopes of learning how to do it during this weird time of suspended everything else.
@shanaber It was my first try at a virtual race and it was a bit hard to get in the "race spirit" at first. I tried to use my imagination because who knows when we'll be racing for real again!3 -

OK. We'll just be fat together. haha! Hang in there. I'm glad there's no where to be so I don't have to try to put on normal clothes, for now.
@quilteryoyo YES! of course. Un-canceled! now, who's setting it up? ok... i'll do it. going now.... *hold music* Everclear's Father of Mine.... (just whats on currently- no reason...)3 -
Such talent on here, and beautiful gardens. I'm not much of a sewer either (which is awful since my mum was a seamstress back in the day) love flowers and gardens but don't have a green thumb either sigh.
5 miles today. Same green way, same amount of people. It was cool and cloudy, but now the sun is out finally and we are supposed to be in the 80's all weekend! Can't wait to run in shorts...and I got my Virtual Pace series medal for the Top Gun Run challenge (you can do 5K,10K, HM, or all three or just one etc). Just in time for my hopefully virtual HM this Sunday. I'll be out again with my bib on lol. Anything to get the "race spirit" @janejellyroll . I'm with you on that.
Stay well all!7 -
March goal: run 2-3 days per week. Virtual 5K April 25th.

3/5 - R 1.8 miles (total run: 3.56 miles)
3/7 - Stationary bike for 20 mins - - - Week 1: Goal accomplished (2 days)
3/10 - R 2.01 miles
3/11 - W 4.01 miles (total walk: 7.31 miles)
3/13 - R 1.76 miles (total run: 7.33 miles) - - -Week 2: Goal accomplished (2 days)
3/17 - R 1.5 miles
3/19 - R 2.01 miles --- Week 3: Goal accomplished (2 days)
3/25 - R 1.51 miles
3/26 - R 2.21 miles (Total run - 14.56 miles)
What a difference a day makes! I know it's not much for some, but for me it is, so I'll share. I was able to run the first 1.1 miles total, no walking. The 2nd 1.1, I only took 2 1 min walk breaks. I haven't felt that good in a long time. Next run scheduled for Sat morning.8 -

Is that from Harry Potter - "Wizzard On!"
Well did my 6.5k comfortably. Then took the kids to the San Diego zoo, followed by the Smithsonian Aeronautical Museum! The first was live cams and the second via videos on YouTube. We learned about aerodynamics, a bit of history ans a bit of space! They lasted about 1hr before losing interest. Was a really cool way of virtually getting out of the house. Going to let them play for a bit then do some reading with miss 5.
She has now declared she wants to be a pilot, so I informed her she needs to concentrate on maths, reading a writing if she wants to be, and she wants to learn more. So good when they are this age!
Definitely not the type of parent to push them into anything, but if the opportunity arises to remind them how important school is, I'm not one to let it pass by haha
Now going to do some sewing, fix my husbands favourite quilt which is really old and falling apart, but he loves. Not going to be long before it's brand new I guess, I've already replaced the sides of the tip and now I'm replacing the entire backing.4
