If we are telling people what the can and cannot post here or how to post I will be out. This is absolutely *kitten* ridiculous. This is affecting everyone and we can't just pretend it's not happening. I keep seeing runners and triathletes saying they tested positive. It's real. It's here. And people need to *kitten* accept it and stay the *kitten* home.

Guess what? My state is *kitten* hiding/manipulating numbers and saying don't test anymore. I just received word that two people have it that work in the same areas as some of my employees. My DH has a coworker who came to work after his MIL supposedly tested positive. Coworker won't go home and won't tell management. So others told for him. DH has to go to work today and if that coworker is there he will be leaving. After he lets management know his thoughts on this.

Here's a *kitten* spoiler for you
*kitten* OFF. DONT LIKE IT? *kitten* BLOCK ME

I love that @ hanlonsk put her thoughts on the current ‘situation’ in a spoiler. It would be great to be able to keep this thread mostly about running as it’s such a great topic, and if we want to talk about the 'situation’ we can, but if we don’t, it’s easy to avoid.

I vote all discussion of the virus that is not directly related to our personal running experience be henceforth be put in a spoiler.

    Agreed?

For those who don’t know how, preface you text with the word spoiler in square brackets and the same at the end but with the addition of a slash - like this: /spoiler (but in square brackets: [ ] )

well. nothing i have is running related so I guess I've been censored out of this group too. Enjoy your COVID peeps. I've heard a few accounts where healthcare workers are expected to work despite symptoms @RunsOnEspresso. All some of can do is stay educated and lookout for ourselves. Is the spoiler a part of social distancing now?

@Elise4270 We can discuss whatever we want in the fat kid thread. I think I'll stick over there since this thread keeps trying to censor my thoughts.

Also, @PastorVincent, now you're starting something. LOL. I'm an equal opportunity condimentist but I only eat hot dogs at a ball game and they kind of gross me out any other time. But yeah, at a game with beer it seems right.

These are all beef GF ones. So that makes them okay  (and expensive)

You might need to "cook" those k-cups a little more. They don't look safe to consume yet.

Ok so my husband has suggested that I live somewhere else for the duration of the crisis. Because I am front line health, I am at huge risk of contracting it, in fact we all feel its a case of when, not if. He doesn't want to get it, and doesn't want the kids to get it. My 6yr old gets asthma, and it always kicks off worse when she's got a cold/flu. So we aren't keen on her getting it.

I admit to resisting. For a few reasons.
1: Id feel guilty about him caring for the kids 24/7 for 3 weeks, potentially longer.
2: I'm not that worried about the kids getting it, they will be miserable for a few days but it seems to be sparing kids. But then that guilt/stress? And if they have it, I have no choice but to stay home from work anyway
3: and maybe this should be no one, the idea of not being with my family for that length of time, or even longer, rips out my heart.

So wise world of the MFP monthly running challenge group. Advice, suggestions?

I've emailed my manager asking what work has in place atm, work are supposed to provide accommodation for those who want to stay away from family. But won't hear until Monday.

It would rip my heart out too. But you haven’t mentioned your husband’s health - and younger, healthy men have been ending up on respirators a lot. Considering that non-symptomatic transmission in family groups appears to be a major driver, it might be an important thing to think about.

Ok, I put a suggestion up for vote. Some people like the idea. Some people didn’t. Some people need to go for a run.
