  • Day 4 done...but i have to say, it was harder than i thought this time. I was a little less sore today and really excited to get it done tonight. But then I started and was feeling worse than Day 1!!! ugh! Oh well, i pushed through it anyway but had to do some extra calf stretches. I went for several fast 15 minute walks…
  • Just checking in - everyone is doing such a great job! Finished Day 3 and I noticed I took a little less 5 second breaks. Armpits/shoulders and thighs are burning. Little concerned I am not feeling it in my abs though...hoping i am doing it right. Really have high hopes to work in some extra cardio on the treadmill this…

Measurements Bust 41 Waist 33 Hips 47 Thigh 26.5 Knee 16.5 Calf 16 Bicep 12.5 Forearm 9 I am not brave enough yet to post my pics or my weight....still working through that stage of my journey. i'll c heck in tomorrow and…
  • I am a shredding virgin and I am scared......but I am in!
  • Thanks everyone - love these ideas and comments....keep them coming!!! I am a total Excel Geek, I can't believe I haven't made up some chart yet that would prove my evil twin wrong. And, I've been known to be crazy for worst things than talking to myself, so talking back to the evil twin might just be the answer!…
  • ahh...I couldn't have read this at a better moment.....and I am taking your advice....to the closet the scale will go for awhile!!!!!
  • Very noticeable!!! i am thinking about doing this in April.....may i ask how you log it on MFP for exercise? i've seen cardio, I've seen circuit training...I am just curious how you chose to log it. Thanks for posting a progress pic - you are motivating me a little closer to doing the same!
  • Just checking in...signature is updated....lot's of treadmill, some walking outside, finally warmer weather!!! Have a great weekend everyone! :drinker:
  • I recently found out that I am low in B-12 and have been trying supplements and my levels and symptoms have not improved much. I have the shots, but just have been procrastinating about doing them. There are valid reasons why people can't just "eat healthier" or just take supplements to get the nutrients needed. I just…

  • Back on it - 3 miles tonight! Keep up the good work everyone!!
  • Just checking in....have had some "issues" the last few days that prevented any major cardio workouts. But l am still here and i'll still be trying the rest of March. I read through some of the last few pages of posts that I missed. You guys are inspiring!!!
  • I keep mine private because I need encouragement from a "get up and move your *kitten*" perspective. Not a "you ate what??" perspective. I am honest in my diary and I really don't pay attention to what other people are eating. I joined MFP because of their fantastic tools for tracking my calories and excercise…
  • Did 3 miles yesterday...totaling only 7 the first week...but that's more than I usually do (small steps, small steps, small steps)
  • Checking in....did another 2 miles today.
  • Thanks for the info everyone! My work out regimen is usually treadmill, aerobic and strength training (alternating days)....and I don't do the treadmill everyday. But I will start out with a commitment goal of 50 miles this month. Maybe it's about time I start moving my *kitten* on the treadmill more anyway, so what the…
  • I am new to the whole challenge theme on MFP...may a newbie join? Can someone fill me in on how to do the specialized ticker for this? When do I update the thread throughout the challenge? And any other pertinent info would be helpful. I am really looking for that extra push to keep me motivated and I think this is a great…
  • Thanks everyone for your feedback...looks like I have some research/youtubing to do :-)
  • I am doing pilates....I have the Winsor Pilates set with the sculpting circle, but I do it in conjunction with cardio on off days. For me, personally, pilates wouldn't be enough to help me lose the weight I want to lose. But it does a fantastic job in my abs, core, arms, etc. Stick with it and in a matter of weeks you will…
  • bump So glad I read this tonight.....this is a fantastic post.......thank you so much your honesty and your story!
  • For me, and everyone is different, I don't deprive myself of anything because, like you, it made me want it even more and then I would over indulge. So I started small... For bread (I am a carb freak) I switched to DItaliano Light Bread (80 calories for 2 slices). I switched to Coke Zero, or Diet Coke w/ Lime and dropped…
  • Jaw Dropping!!! Nice Job!!! May I ask how tall you are? Just trying to gauge how I might look when I actually make it there :-) Thanks for posting! AHH...nevermind, I just checked out your profile....I am a bit shorter (5'6"), but you look model worthy!
  • Thank you for this post....I've had two slap me in the face with my own fat moments. (1) At night out with friends, I thought i was looking great (two Thanksgiving Weekends ago). Then I saw the FB pictures. I looked so uncomfortable and like i was wearing clothes way too small for me. After that, my wonderful husband…
  • I love this!!! I am so creative-do-it-yourself challenged though...I don't quite get how to do the sides....I am sure I can find a youtube video
  • Like many others, I had to ween myself.....I love (and still do) coke and mountain dew and drank way too much of it. I pretty much drank ZERO water and only pop. Overtime, I switched to coke zero, diet coke with lime, or pepsi max. I know, still not the great for you, but I was at least getting my fix somewhat satisfied.…
  • I know what you mean. You and I are almost the same height/weight and I get the same feedback (about not "looking that fat"). I tried to not make a big deal about changing my lifestyle and losing weight because I don't want to hear it anymore than I already do. Going to the doctors office is the worse....they start…
  • Finally figured it out......Maxine from Hallmark is where my Secret Santa got it....go figure :-)
  • 1650 calories a day, and I generally do not eat back my workout calories that I burn. I lose about a pound a week.
  • Yeah...I came across Stephen Wright, Rodney Dangerfield, and Woody Allen too....but their have that "science fiction" tag added to it. The quote I have is pretty exact. Maybe my secret santa got it wrong??
  • Alison's Sweeney's hair tonight....real or extensions? It's beautiful, but it doesn't seem to move.....
  • Definitely need to eat more. I tihnk I have low blood sugar issues when I work out so at the advice of my fellow MFP's I started drinking a small galss of orange juice or small snack before a workout. It made a world of diference to me. Good luck!
