  • Me and my husband settled on the Polar FT40 for each of us....we love ours :)
  • I'm 250lbs and have run four 5Ks. The first one took me 56 minutes...the last one was 43 minutes. THAT IS NOT FAST. But, I did it. Some day I will be under 30minutes. A runner friend of mine told me when I first started running: It doesn't matter how fast you run down the road...only across it. :) Best of luck hon!
  • I'm going to sound like an echo too. Everyone up above is right: -people who see you everyday won't notice -depends on how much overall weight you have to lose -depends on where you lose it first (I tend to melt: comes off my face, then shoulders, chest (boo!), belly then lastly my thunder thighs) Hang in there...once…
  • My go-to for salty munchies are Honey Wheat pretzel sticks. Enough salt for my cravings and low fat (110 cals, 1.5 fat for 7 sticks). With water or a diet coke, they puff right up in your stomach and you feel full....which my brain still needs.
  • Toned legs in a cute summer dress...
  • Wow....look at how many of us there are! We should just start a working mom group...but who would have to time to administrate it? LOL I am a full time working mother of 2 as well (6yr, 8yr). My husband is an artist working out of the house so in essence, I am sole provider at this stage in our life. I am also a part time…
  • I don't have 200lbs, but my 60lbs still seems daunting compared to others' 10 -15lbs. I could always use a good kick in the pants so I will sen you a friend request LOL!
  • Check in the box for me too...coffee addict! Coffee with a little flavored creamer...coffee ice cream...coffee candies! There will probably be a small memorial service at my house when my Keurig dies. LOL
  • I was under the understanding that: exercise = more muscle mass (LBM) = higher metabolism = higher BMR = more calories burned at rest = more weight loss I'm up for adding anything that takes this weight off quicker. :)
  • I am a Full time Quality Engineer at a Automotive supplier that supplies the OEMs (Chrysler, GM, etc...) I am also a part time college student making my quality engineering position official with a bachelor's degree. I finish this fall after 4 years at it part time....Woo hoo!
  • Are both scales the same age? Or has your mom's been around for ages and the springs have relaxed? I remember my mom's was old as dirt and all you had to do was wiggle on it a little and it would give you a different reading LOL If they are the same age, I would agree with the post above in that the sensitivity between the…
  • About 2 years ago, my husband and I did a couple's biggest loser competition with friends for ours...winner getting to go to dinner of their choice. We won with the most weight loss. At that time, I dropped almost 30 pounds. Since then, 15 have snuck back on. I should have kept going but I just let life get in the way. I…
  • Thanks for the support everyone! I already see a huge difference in this site since I was last on it and I can say I LOVE all the changes I've seen. Even just the number of you who have replied to this post is very encouraging. I need accountability BIG time. I tried having my husband do it, but he is too close to my heart…
