That's perfect - thanks so much for your help! Much appreciated. :)

I have well over 100 to lose - my goal is to drop 150 lbs and I'm around 1/3 of the way there. Feel free to add me if you wish!

I switched from WW Online to MFP back in July, and I've actually done better on MFP. Plus, it's free! I very much doubt I'd ever go back to WW. It's a good program, but a lot of money to spend when all the resources at MFP are available for free. That said, I was doing WW Online (i.e., not going to weekly meetings), so for…

Shy extrovert. Is that even possible?!

Thanks for all the input and advice, everyone - much appreciated! I feel a lot better about the idea of putting an elliptical upstairs.

I think it's around 200 lbs (perhaps a little less when you exclude packaging). My worry isn't so much the weight of it sitting there, as the impact it'll have when it's in use. We had a building inspection done when we bought our place, but it was a based on exposed surfaces only, so they didn't get into any structural…

I moved to a new city less than a year ago, and shortly after I got here I joined a book club. I am now friends with several of the group members - we get together regularly for dinner, walks, movies, etc. - and I'm so glad I joined! Highly recommended.

Thanks, everyone!

I came here from Weight Watchers Online, and haven't regretted it for a minute! I've consistently lost more weight each week since joining MFP than I ever did on WW, and the fact that it's FREE is the calorie-free icing on the cake! MFP has an amazing set of resources, and I tell pretty well everyone I meet about it.

I only made it through the first 22 pages of this thread, so apologies if someone has already said this and I missed it. I never thought I'd say this, but I agree with Chris Rock. We don't need gun control. We need bullet control.…

Wow, thank you all so much for the encouraging comments! I'm still fairly new to MFP, but have already found out that it's an amazingly supportive community. I'm so glad to be here! Unfortunately I wasn't able to take my second photo in the same location as the first, as we've moved since my "before" pic was taken…

Feel free to add me! I'm 45, married, no kids, and a newbie to MFP.

Thank you for this great and informative post! I've had the tofu shirataki noodles, and enjoyed them, but didn't realize that there was an even LOWER calorie version out there! I'll have to see if I can find them in my city, and will also have to try the dry-fry method you described. (When I made the noodles I just cooked…
