triumph - like in "triumph the insult comic dog" he looks just like that dog - google it if you've never heard of him

i go hiking often but not at the level you're speaking of... i live across the street from a NYS Park which is 2000 acres. i typically hike for 2.5-3.5 hours and do about 100 floors according to my Fitbit.

i don't think its either shaming nor motivating. when people put up progress pics or just a post that states how much they lost i'm genuinely happy and thrilled for them. i don't read into their motivation for losing the weight or whether they have body issues or not. i've known people of every size with body image issues…

if its as bad as you say, do not make an announcement and expose yourself to further abuse. i had a situation like this and i didn't take their calls and eventually moved away and never informed them. if they are cancerous cut them right out of your life and never look back - it was the best thing i ever did and i've never…

yes, unless that person is trying to sell me something.

thanks for the post. i agree that having the data does help improve your weight loss and your fitness training. you'll be able to go over the data for a month to see what workouts and intensities yield you the best results. when your weight loss stalls you'll be able to compare that data to your training log and determine…

i did it and didn't have any problems with it. i like that you can use weekly points and activity points at any time during the week - this way you can use them for a dinner out or a party/special event. i signed up for "online only" and logged on both MFP and WW - this way i knew how many calories was equal to a food…

just a note that hasn't been mentioned - you must climb 10 feet in order for the Fitbit to count it as a floor and most homes have 8 foot flights of stairs and you might not get stair credit. also the barometric pressure will give you false floor readings - Low pressure give you bonus floors and high pressure give you…

i have the Fitbit, a Polar HRM FT40, and the BodyMedia Fit Link. My favorite and most accurate, for me, is the BodyMedia Fit. If you don't want something that you wear all day for a daily total activity/calorie burn then i would say get the HRM. The Fitbit, for me, was the least accurate - i even wore 2 Fitbits at the same…

if its between a Fitbit and a HRM i'd have to go with the HRM - i have both along with a BodyMedia Fit and found the Fitbit was only reliable for walking, the heart rate monitor was reliable for all moderate/high intensity exercise but was slightly off for yoga/pilates/etc (low intensity stuff), and the BodyMedia Fit was…

i routinely have my VO2 Max measured in the lab and is considered extremely accurate and this provides me with an excellent ballpark of my calorie burn which i then compared to the devices i had. as some others previously stated, use what works for you but for me the most accurate was BMF for the activities i enjoy doing.

i did a side by side comparison of 2 Fitbits (hubby & i each had one) set up with all my personal data, a Polar HRM FT40, and a BMF Link. the most accurate was the BMF Link, then the Polar HRM FT40, and then the 2 Fitbits. the Polar HRM FT40 was only slightly inaccurate and mainly when doing activities when the heart rate…

i'm very comfortable with my hour glass shape. as far as i'm concerned a large hip to waist ratio is extremely sexy.

go to the doctor and have a physical - you shouldn't be this exhausted. check thyroid, iron levels, and red blood cell count.

after years of trying to have a baby our daughter died in childbirth. we tried again and i went on to have 3 miscarriages. we are no longer trying to have children. i have some extremely dark days - i get up & get moving for my husband and my pets (1 dog & 4 cats). people say it gets better with time but i haven't found…
