Actual binging in any form isn't a good thing, doesn't matter what it's on.

Hot ham water.

Avocado. Or eggs. I can't pick which!

Has it ever occurred to you that, like men, women are not one entity and there isn't really any set of specific things all women want from men? All my girlfriends and I require very different qualities in the type of guys we are interested in. All the guys I've ever known, platonic or otherwise, have varied GREATLY in what…

Really it's foods I'm not all that crazy about that are calorie dense. Tends to be pasta, white breads or white rice for me, but I will totally make calorie allowances for black rice or wild rice, as well as super hearty multi-grain breads. Nom nom. Most cereal and granola are completely unsatisfying for me so not worth…

OP, I know you probably don't want to see that an appetite suppressant won't work for you, but it simply won't. Emotional eating is all mental. On days I'm emotionally eating, I find I'm able to eat huge amounts of food that, when I'm simply eating by my normal hunger cues, would probably make me physically sick. If you're…

Hey, Carrie. I know how you feel. I'm currently 50 lbs heavier than you are...I lost 39 since January. I hit that moment where I realized I was completely crippling myself emotionally, mentally, and physically. I turned off any notion that I was going to be on a diet and realized what was going to be the real change for me…

Imo, if someone has a problem with compulsive eating, restriction diets are going to only make it worse. Some people can do it and not have issues. Have you tried gradually trying to eat the foods you have compulsive issues with regularly, within your calorie goal? It's not going to be an overnight thing, but getting rid…

This is the thing, imo, this is all about lifestyle change. Even a small deficit will result in weight loss, albeit slowly. A lot of people tend to try immediately losing 2 lbs a week no matter what their weight is, want to get it off nownownow, which ends up resulting in them feeling hungry and trying to avoid anything…
-
Is there any particular reason you feel you have to cut out anything? Can you just try to do a calorie deficit? If he said 10-15, I'd make 10 the goal. Set your weight loss for no more than 1lb a week.
-
You don't need to exercise to lose weight. It speeds it up, but weight loss is all about calorie deficit. Exercise is for being more fit and feeling better. I'd really suggest completely separating exercise from weight loss in your head - it makes it much easier to be in the mindset of finding an activity you love to do…

Like the others said, you should definitely still be talking to a therapist. You're in recovery but still have to straighten out disordered thoughts - it takes time! These sort of things aren't instant.
-
Op also said she has issues with binging. Drastic calorie intakes for someone who has issues with binging can set them up for failure. They aren't projecting anything - they are talking from experience and want OP to be able to have success for the rest of her life, not just a few months right now.

For an F cup, mine was perfect.

http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B007KFZGHA/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I LOVE this bra. It really locks everything down tight and is in my price range. You'll feel like you're wearing armor with this sucker.

Weight loss is calorie deficit, not exercise. What @davis_em said, you just need to continue to eat at your deficit, or perhaps maintenance for the time being would be a better idea. Drink lots of liquid(but not calorie laden ones) to make sure you're well hydrated and can't confuse hunger for thirst, and just really…

I could have lived not knowing this stuff existed. Now I'm sad.

Yup. Go get fitted. They'll help you find a good one based on your stride and your arch support needs.

Gotta agree with @4legsRbetterthan2. It's a learning process. If what's going on now isn't working, tweak it. You have a smaller amount of weight to lose, from what your profile says, meaning you're going to have to really take it slowly - do not expect 2, or even 1 lbs a week. Having too low calories can make getting…

Are you in the US? So Delicious has a line of coconut milk ice creams that don't have any soy in them. Like the others said, any nut butters that you can eat, eat more of. Avocados are great and calorie dense. Can you eat dates? They are delicious and very calorie dense - it's really easy to make date/coconut balls that…

Like everyone else said, logging and accurately weighing(with a food scale) your food will help a lot. Cooking at home will make maximizing the amount of food you can eat for lower calories FAR easier, even if you're using a decent amount of stuff like cheese and butter. Some people have been able to lose weight eating the…

Hey there! My highest weight was actually 436 in December, down to 403 now. I know how hard making this post probably was for you, I can say that it was a huge first step for me. I needed to change, I am changing, and I will get this weight off. Take a look at my profile and go ahead and add me if I seem like someone you…

Even if it's only 10 minutes to start, just start walking every day. Add on 5 minutes every week. I weigh 400 lbs. I walk an hour a day. I go fairly slow. I up the speed for a few minutes when I feel I can, and then drop it down again because for me, that 60 minutes is my goal. I can do a faster pace for 30 minutes, but I…

Okay? I don't see how that has anything to do with claiming intuitive eating is why people get fat.
-
Actually, I got to where I am because I was mindlessly eating.
-
Intuitive eating is actually a concept that helped me immensely to make me realize all the reasons I was eating for. Most of the time - I don't eat because of stomach hunger, I'm eating because of mental hunger. I think there's a certain type of personality that it really speaks to, and to dismiss it as ridiculous and…

What Kimney said. I'd really suggest trying to touch base with a registered dietician who specializes in ED, if you can. They'll be able to help you touch base with where you should be in a way that encourages you to keep health and normalized thoughts about food.
-
You can't gain 1 pound from 2 glasses of wine and a small piece of chocolate. It's not possible.
-
Listen to the others in the thread. Get a referral for a registered dietician, or just go to one if you don't need a referral. Doctors can have as little as 1 hour of nutritional training in medical school.
