Hello Everyone, I'm Tammy and I'm in Maryland, I'm not new to MFP but it's been a long while since I've done this. Today I find myself feeling so disgusted with myself. I've gained back the 50 pounds I lost and then some. I look at myself in the mirror and I don't like what I see at all. I've sat here crying about it. I…

I say listen to your body...I personally feel hungry quicker by drinking the protein shakes vs. eating a meal. I've also learned over time that sometimes hunger is mistaken for thirst...which is why I always drink water first when feeling hungry. Calories are calories regardless if its liquid or solid. Do what makes you…

1. Love yourself no matter what!!! <3 <3 2. Keeping a food log. 3. Exercising...got a FitBit which motivates me to move more. 4. Drinking water...I try to drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. 5. Making better food choices...such as less carbs per meal. I eat no more than 30 carbs per meal and 15 carbs per snack and I…

To me the cauliflower is like a thin crispy crust without all the carbs.
-
Yes it comes out crispy....I think the almond flour helps with any excess moisture in the cauliflower..

This is a recipe I use a lot and you switch up the meat and veggies you use. I've used sausage, mushrooms, diced tomatoes and carrots. I have also shredded the sweet potato instead of using slices. Everyone in my family loves it. I have topped it with salsa and a little sour cream for a Mexican take. Sweet Potato-Crusted…

Cauliflower is my new best friend. I use it to make pizza crust and in place of bread stick, fried rice, mashed potatoes, and macaroni and cheese. Here is the pizza crust recipe I use.... Cauliflower Pizza Crust Prep Time: 10 min. Bake Time: 25-30 min. Yield: 1 medium pizza crust. Ingredients: 1 Head cauliflower, trimmed…

I buy Quinoa chips and dip those with salsa...the quinoa chips give you protein. When I make taco salad, I mix salsa in with my lean hamburger and use a serving of baked tortilla chips in my salad, along with lots of veggies and top it with cheese and salsa. Salsa is a great way to given salads flavor without the added…

I also drink the Premier Protein drinks, chocolate and strawberry, get them at Costco, 30 grams of protein, 5 carbs, and 160 calories and I find them very satisfying. They vanilla too but I haven't tried those.

How much water do you drink on a daily basis? And does the "peeing" slow down when your body gets used to all the water?

My newest go to snack, especially to satisfy my sweet tooth are the Dole Dippers. I have had the strawberries, pineapples and bananas and they are all great. I think the pineapple are my favorite. They are all dipped in dark chocolate and are also a low carb snack. You can find them in the frozen food isle where the frozen…

To detox from carbs do you cut them out completely or slowly ween yourself from them?

MFP has truly been a blessing to me. My doctor is the one who actually told me about it and I'm finding myself becoming addicted to it as well. If I don't log in and start my food tracker in the mornings then I feel like I'm missing something. I haven't gotten into the exercising full force yet as I am trying to the whole…

Since I began tracking my food on MFP, I have also check my blood glucose levels several times a day now and just by simply following my calories and carbs recommended on MFP I have seen a significant drop in my meter readings. I made a simple chart in Excel and record my meter readings as I take them. If my glucose number…

I spend about $75 a week for 2 adults. I plan my meals for the week based on the sales papers, make a list, combine coupons and stick to the list. Sometimes I make pickup things from several different stores depending on the sales but its worth it to me to get a good deal. Its a challenge for me to get the most out of my…

I would say junk food. I still have a cookie or something here and there but its planned within my calorie intake. I have realized how much junk food I actually ate when I started keeping track of everything I eat.
