  • I was doing the "long jumps" in cardio 3, had a brief lapse of reason and thought I was some sort of Olympian, jumped to far/hard/just plain wrong and when I landed heard the pop/rip. My ACL was torn straight through and my meniscus was partially torn. To be fair though, I had already partially torn my ACL a couple years…
  • Congratutions on your success!!! I only made it 10 1/2 weeks before I severed my ACL during cardio 3...now I'm looking at another 5 1/2 months before I'm even possibly allowed to restart (just had knee surgery 3 weeks ago). But I can't wait to start seeing the results again!
  • We got engaged 6 days after our first date, married exactly one year after that, and this October we'll celebrate 11 happily married years together. Our friends and family thought we were crazy, but we knew. Oh, and I should probably also tell ya, we had been friends for about a year and a half before that first date…
  • I'm fairly certain mine is open to the public, I actually do 1400/day but with exercise I sometimes struggle to get to 1200 net. However, if you look at mine, go back at least a week. I hurt my knee and have been unable to get around well enough to cook much so there have been a lot of not so good for you foods in there…
  • Change is never easy, even if it's changes we are working towards. Just remember all the positives which you feel when you think about how far you've come and use those thoughts as aids to help keep you going with your healthy lifestyle. Unfortunately stress and work typically go hand in hand through life; but try to find…
  • Wish I had some answers for you, I posted a similar question earlier today as I apparently tore my meniscus in my right knee during my workout Wednesday and am looking for any advice on a workout that can get my heart rate up but have no impact on my legs (I can't even straighten the one). Would you be able to ride a bike…
  • That actually sounds fun! I wonder if my husband wants to be my punching bag. :) I have to say I'm not looking forward to the physical therapy/rehab portion of this, I tore my ACL in this same knee 2 years ago and got so depressed about it I packed on weight from inactivity. So I'm trying desperately to prevent that from…
  • Missing my workouts...I feel like a sloth since I hurt my knee mid cardio 3 and am now stuck on crutches. I'm very envious of all of you that are still working hard! Keep it up everyone, I'm anxiously waiting til I can restart again!
  • I use a Polar FT4 and love it. It gives me everything I need, cals burned, "time in zone," mins spent working out, stores every workout in an individual file, and can tell me how many calories I've burned since I first strapped it on (it probably does more then that even, but that's what I primarily look at). Also it's…
  • I just open the picture in paint and then once in paint under the edit menu you can chose "paste from" and open the second picture. You do have to size them BEFORE moving to paint otherwise they are huge and resizing in paint distorts the image. I usually make the smallest side about 300 pixels and they fit fine. HTH. :)
  • Maybe I'm weird, but I always find the best way to "beat" soreness is to workout. It gets the muscles warmed up and fired up again and the soreness is gone for me...at least until I wake up again the next day, but then I do another workout and feel great again. But again, I may very well just be weird.
  • I wear a hrm when I do mine, so I create my own exercise with each new disk and record them that way with the total calorie burn from my hrm. This also helps me to compare the burn I get from each different disk and watch to see if my cals burned is increasing or decreasing as the weeks progress.
  • I'm 5' 4", I started this lifestyle change on Feb 27, 2012 at a weight of 212lbs. SW 212 lbs CW 185 lbs GW 140 lbs (may reasses that once I get there) Good luck on your journey, feel free to add me if you'd like. )
  • I do the DVD cardio on Wednesday's and I go for a 3-6 mile hike through the Hawaiian mountains for my Saturday cardio. I think as long as you're getting a good cardio workout that's all that really matters.
  • Don't be afraid, we can do this! I was just used to cardio being my "easy days" I wasn't expecting that today.
  • Great job! I always found it funny that she said suicides were "the hardest" part of cardio 1, I found the running man to be the worst by far! But every time I tried to do them all, and when I just couldn't (I have a torn ACL on one knee that just said "NO" after a bit) I would literally jog around my house. By the last…
  • Thanks everyone! The pics, though highly embarrassing for me (I can't believe that's what I actually look like), are really helping motivate me. Especially starting a new phase today, I was terrified to see what Jollian had in store for me, and based on how shaky my upper body is right now, probably rightfully scared lol.…
  • I just finished workout 5 for the first time a few minutes ago...my entire upper body ha the shakes now...but I feel highly accomplished after getting through it!
  • Great results! I love seeing all the inches coming off all of us, even if the scale isn't moving as much. Congrats on your success thus far!
  • I saw the passenger and driver trade places while doing about 60/65 mph on I-94 just outside of Chicago...and they stayed in their lane the entire time!
  • Workout 3 kicked my butt the first time...by the time I did it for the last time (yesterday) I was thinking, hmmm, I remember this being a lot more difficult. It'll get easier, and then about the time it does the workout will change to something even harder. :)

  • I saw a big loss (7lbs) my first week, but I also cut out beer and soda that week too which is what I think did it for me. But I've since lost 15 more lbs over the past 8 weeks, but now it's more a pound or 2 a week. That first week I think was a soda fluke lol. Good luck, stick with it and you will see results, just don't…

  • Well I've never been a huge bread fan, but I did just eat a plate of pasta for lunch and I rarely go a day without my skinny cow ice cream bar. But honestly, if I never ate bread again I'd be ok with that...just don't take away my pasta!!! With that being said, I lose at least 1, if not 2, pounds a week and for the most…
  • I vote for moving to the group room/boards. And I love "purple people eaters" it makes me laugh, and who doesn't need a laugh???
  • I'm blessed to living in Hawaii (for the time being anyways)
  • I'm fairly fortunate, I don't have to ask this question. Even at my largest my husband has always made sure I knew he thought I was sexy, beautiful, and desirable. Now getting me to believe that is another story, but I know his thoughts towards me have never changed.
  • I love papaya! The seeds creep my husband out though...he's all but banned me from buying whole ones. Lol.
  • I (kinda) live in "Tim-buck-too" and can tell ya, most of those weird fruits are super yummy! I especially love dragon fruit, if you can find that and haven't ever tried it I highly recommend it!
  • Can't say as I blame ya! The kickstart diet is a bear to stay with...a month later and I still can't stand the sight of salad!
