When I ran in the Columbus Marathon a month ago, one specatator was doing the Gangnam Style dance. He cracked me up as I ran by him.

My mom bought me my first bike from Western Auto in San Antonio. If I remember correctly, that bike set my parents back $49.00 That was practically a pay check. But, that banana bike lasted me about 10 years until I out grew it. And I rode that thing all over San Antonio even going past the air port (I lived in the west…

Along with Woolworth was Neisner's, both five and dime stores. Growing up in San Antonio we had a mall called "Wonderland". That mall had Woolworth, Neisner's, Montgomery Wards, and Sears to name a few stores. Piccadilly Cafeteria was also located there along with Radio Shack. The mall is still there but all those stores…

I haven't considered malls but growing up that was the place to go. If a store wanted to make a name for themselves, a good place to start was to have a presence in a mall. Today, outdoor malls like Easton (here in Columbus) are where young people go and hip stores like the Apple Store are located. But I think malls will…

Wow, that is so sad about your MOH's brother! But I'm glad you married the love of your life.

ha ha. I would ask to see what other folks are bringing. You may get away without having to bring anything. Wine is fine but I know you want to do something different.

An interesting comparison between Little Debbie and Hostess is their price. You can go to convenient stores and buy Little Debbie snacks for about .50 cents as opposed to about $1.25 for a Hostess snack cake. My pallet is not highly refined so they taste similar. I maybe wrong but my wallet prefers Little Debbies.

I use to work at Pizza Hut during college. That was the best time! Pizza Hut was #1 in San Antonio during the 70s. Today there are few stores with actual seating. Most are carry out. Competition from other chains like Papa Johns and Domino's are killing Pizza Hut. Soon, Pizza Hut will go the way of Pizza Inn. Remember that…

Wow, Joske's. I forgot about that one. I'm from San Antonio and I saw a photograph, era 1925, showing the funeral procession for Joske passing by his flagship store at the corner of Alamo and Commerce Streets, overlooking historic Alamo Plaza where the Alamo is. For Christmas, that store would place a large Santa Claus…

I like panties, I think it sexy! but I dislike commode (sounds really dirty, note to real estate agents, don't use that word when describing the bathroom to a client) and wifee or wifey (however you spell it since it's not a word)

I think Blackberry fell asleep at the wheel while iPhone and Droid were in the fast land.

Very True. I have always had a cat. Adult cats have true personalities so you can see if you like them. A kitten's personality takes time to develop. I had one cat a few years ago who I really hated as a kitten and wanted to get rid of him. But I stuck with him and he became my all time favorite cat. He became a very…

Wow, I would have laughed about this post last Wednesday. Thursday I went in to work and one of my co-workers started to tell me, and she was dead serious, she believes in Big Foot. Nothing to laugh about. I did and she didn't appreciate it.

When I go out on a first date, I always expect to pay. However, that being said, I don't have a problem if the guy is up front about who will pay. If he wants to go dutch, just say so before the date begins, that way there is no hard feelings afterwards. It does not make you look like a jerk. If, however,…

I've used POF a few times but have not had any luck. I guess women are picky. When I'm interested in someone I send them a nice, long message introducing myself and telling them what we have in common. I always try to throw a bit of humor to break the ice. However, what I think is happening are window shoppers. If the…

It takes two. I've only met half but unfortunately she did not feel the same way. She would walk into the room I was in and my face would instantly light up. I didn't know I was doing this. A friend noticed my reaction each time I saw her. But, she didn't feel the same way about me. :brokenheart: I may have had a similar…

If you want the male perspective, it's the same. but, it actually depends on the individual. Last year I dated a girl who turned my head. I fell deep for her. She was a nurse and into healthy eating and turned me on to it. It wasn't so much she motivated me but more because I really liked her that I changed my lifestyle to…

Sounds to me your complaint is about older workers. My complaint is about younger workers. I quit my last job because the younger workers had no work ethic. One idiot kept coming in late. I threatened to fire him. The following week he came in late again telling me he was having problems at home. The fool did not…
