I've just sat at work crying at some of these replies... I love the idea of people walking around their neighbourhoods with racks of lamb and some asparagus!

I don't... for the simple reason I hardly used to take any photos of myself or legs (apart from face ones!) before I started as I reallllly didn't like myself. Being on here has made me wish I had taken more before photos so I can compare... That's probably why it's taken me a while to see differences because I'm just…

From someone who is also small and has legs as problem areas, I understand how you're feeling. I think you are where I am about a year ago, doing a lot of cardio but not seeing the toned up results you want. Just a couple of things first, unfortunately cellulite is just a part of life for us women, there's no special…

For me - a cynical person about valentines day even though I'm not single? I will be mostly sleeping, going to the gym and eating a lot of chicken. Oh and sweet potatoes more than likely....
-
I tend to stick to chicken or salmon with veg and sweet potato. I keep it interesting by using different spices and flavours and mixing up veg. I'm abit odd though and love just steamed veg, could eat platefuls of it... I also make up homemade granola bars or protein balls or other sweet baked goods. I also tend to prep…

What about legs and the most important woman feature... butt?

I go to the gym 4 or 5 times a week. Alternating days between lower body weights (squats, deadlifts, lunges, cable training, glute bridges, kickbacks etc) and upper body/abs/short amount of cardio (often 15-20 min run, cable training for arms, floor ab exercises). Seems to be working for me. Been going to the gym for about…

Thank you so much for all your help and advice. I think I might have a phase of trying to figure out my maintenance, I think it should be around 1,800 ish but I need to know for sure. To try and reduce my body fat I recently have been eating around 1,600-1,700 a day (although I did struggle to do this day after day!). But…

Ahh right okay! Yeah I do reckon I'd have days of feeling like there's no progression, just fat! I have pretty much eaten at maintenance for the past few months. I think its only been past couple of weeks where I've eaten at a slight deficit to try trim body fat but that's when I've realised I've become too thin in places…

Thanks for your reply @sardelsa. Can I ask why its a mind game? But also how much of a bulk did you do i.e. how much did you add to daily intake, how long did it last, did you go straight to cut after? Apologies for the questions, I just want to try and do it right!
-
I know my goal... but it's just trying to figure out the best way to get there. As I've said previous, I've pretty much been on maintenance for the past few months and I know I have made progress, albeit a little, but it's still progress. I'm starting to believe eating slightly above my maintenance would be beneficial but…

Hey! My goal is to get myself a bit bulkier. I know that's not really a definition! But I just want shape to me, I love the look of bulky, muscly women. I don't want to be skinny, I'd love to have that muscle definition and some 'meat on my bones' as my mother would say! But I don't have a figure of weight I want to be,…

Tried mashed banana, eggs and protein powder?
-
Avocado chocolate mousse, I made it for the first time yesterday and its amazing...
-
Greek yoghurt, plain chicken breast, fish, cottage cheese, eggs, goats cheese... all good sources.
-
Hey there. Not sure what your goals are but having a look I'd advise to change your plan up a bit as your protein intake is a bit low. Not sure on your fitness levels either but protein intake is something to look at if you exercise frequently.

Thanks for all your help and advice guys! I've taken 2 weeks off and due to go back and fight again tonight! Wish me luck...
-
Thanks for all your help guys, feeling a lot better as I know I'm not alone in feeling like this sometimes!

I do have a goal - I have a goal to gain muscle definition. I don't "aim" to lose or gain weight, in the sense of I'm not cutting my calories or eating surplus for a gain. I'm eating at maintenance. However I am aware that the scale will probably go up as I train more and more and muscle becomes more prominent, this…

Thanks guys. After reading these forums for a while I've noted that everyone has their own opinion and has their own way of doing things. I'm pretty confident I will be able to have a break, get back into it and I will have to deal with the soreness as and when! Thanks for all your comments though :)
-
Thank you so much for all your guys feedback :) I definitely think burnt out sums me up! As I said before, I still eat healthy regardless of my exercise motivation and have a very healthy attitude towards food! I think I shall take a week or two break and kick myself back into it again, definitely think I will go back…

I want pizza now, but a proper American cheesy pizza! Oh and I want a cute cat too. Waaaaaaaaaaaaah :(

Thank you, request sent :)

Thanks @pinkiezoom. It was hard to stick with as I just wanted sleep but I'm glad I fought it! They've helped my migraines hell of a lot. I still have the odd one every now and then if tired or stressful day but no where near as many or to the same intensity as before!
-
I'd agree with you there @pinkiezoom! I had the worst nightmares ever and trouble sleeping too. I was given a natural sleeping remedy for a couple of weeks to get me through it. Touch wood since then I've been all good! Was an exhausting couple of weeks though.

Hey there! I was prescribed propranolol by my GP a few months back to prevent migraines too. I've been going to the gym regularly for almost 2 years and can say that I have noticed a decrease in my 'get up and go'. My GP also warned me the effects it could have on my tiredness levels and she was right. A few months into…

And it is people like you that is why I usually avoid forums. People have given you lots of helpful advice and suggestions and ideas. Yet there is an excuse how or why you can't do any of the suggestions. YOU are the one saying 'eating out is ruined for me now'. People have tried to help so you don't feel like that. YOU…
