I have heard that there is a chance of passing out by jumping off? I thought it looked like a TABATA routine?

I have been lifting 1-2 x a week for about a year and increased it to 3 times a week about a month ago because I have noticed I was gaining weight. I have an overall gain of 8lbs during the course of several months and I know its not all muscle...I was just curious to know how much muscle you could gain in a matter of…

I started seriously lifting 3x a week for a month now...so I dont think its all water. The 8lbs was put on in about 3 months.

I was eating a lot of fruit too and my trainer told me to only eat berries(strawberries, blueberries) that have less sugar if i want fruit. Its still so hard to keep under 40g!!

My trainer told me to not eat them....I usually do but I am trying to lose the last 13 lbs and am going to not eat them for the next few months to see if that helps.

I tried a new treadmill workout this week and LOVE it. I incline at 12.5% and run 20secs at 6.5 then step onto side for 10secs and run again 20secs off for 10secs. I do this for 4 minute intervals 3x. I will run about a mile warm up before starting and in between each 4 minute set I do a 4 minute walk at 4.0 to lower my…

I am a horrible co-worker...somehow in my twisted mind I feel better by fattening up everyone around me so I brought each of my co-workers a valentines bag FULL of chocolate!! Heh Heh Heh.... Seeing everyone eat it satisfies my craving while I sip my protein shake...

I also crave a good workout everyday. I cheat sometimes and just ignore that 3 mile run I do on rest days...I NEED it!

Strawberries and banana my Favorite! I throw some blueberries in there too sometimes :)

I LOVE my Polar FT60. I use it 1-2 times a day 6x a week.

I had a similar concern and talked to my Dr. about it. I work out 6x a week and my resting HR is 34-42 and when I workout in my cardio zone it ranges from 150 - 170. I have also pushed it all the way up to the low 180s. I was concerned and asked my Dr. and he said as long as I was not light headed, felt faint or dizzy that…

I love my HRM. I have the Polar FT60 and it has helped me tons with my running and tracking calories. I have found it is pretty accurate and the programs on it are great. Good Luck choosing one :)

I make my own breakfast sandwich - Wheat Sandwich thins, turkey bacon and egg beaters. Sometimes I will add Laughing cow cheese. Around 300 cals.

You are an awesome lady Jen!! Congratulations on that great victory!!!!

I have the exact same problem and I went to my Dr. about it. He said as long as I was not short of breath or light headed it was fine. I do try to slow down when running and doing the elliptical 1-2 times a week to get into the fat burning zone of my heart rate. But at comfortable running rate my heart rate will start at…

Very Good points about eating enough...I am trying to lose the last 10-15 lbs of weight (lost 50 so far) and I am eating about 1300 cals a day. I may need to increase my calories but I have a hard time wrapping my head around eating more when I still have some to lose!

Love my Polar FT60 HRM. It has programs on it that I use all the time. It depends on what you want to do with your HRM as to what kind you want. Mine cost ~$120.

Thanks for the encouragement! That is exactly why I use this site! The farthest I have gone is 11.7 miles and I struggled with it. My mid week runs are 4 - 6 mile runs every other day and then strength training every other day. I do cardio at least 6x a week. I am going to try the jelly baby on my next long run and see how…
