I thought I was trying everything, too, and went in for several medical tests thinking that was my issue. My real issue? I was logging, but not weighing my food. I didn't see anywhere if you said you did that. Measuring cups and eyeballing don't work the same. Food scale is the only way to go. Also, you mentioned about 5…

All hail baseball season! ;)

My SIL made these awsome zuchinni "boats" the other night. Scooped a little out of the middle and filled with a mixture of bascially ground turkey & tomato sauce topped with a little parm cheese, then she broiled them. Yummy!

Yep, yep! Pink Ladies rule!

I don't really like it. I didn't want people commenting on my weight when I was heavier and I don't really want them commenting on my weight now. My weight feels like a very personal and private thing to me. (Although in my head I realize that it is a very "out in the open" kind of thing that everyone can observe.) I also…

Thanks for sharing your story - fantastic!!

I use the TDEE method and found it to be successful. I like it because I have a set daily calorie goal. The whole eating back exercise calories was not for me...one day I had to plan 1600 calories of meals, the next I was trying to eat 2000...it wasn't for me. At first, I wasn't sure of using the calculators and how…

Generally, no I don't. I always figured that manufacturing standards would account for a little variation - but seeing that people here find so much discrepancy, it would be interesting to weigh some stuff I normally don't and see. I'm pretty obsessive about weighing everything else, tho. I guess I don't want to be too…

Not cheating. It's kismet so now you can be motivated to train! :)

I recalculate about every 10 lbs or so. P.S. Congrats on all you've done so far!

Meh. I bet they're not really that good anyway.

Salty, salty, salty! I get a little gain like that too when I eat food with a lot of sodium in it. Drink some water and wait it out a few days.

Very nice! Thank you for sharing your story!

Oddly enough, I am having the most consistent success since getting rid of the idea of a no list. Now it is a question of: a.) does it fit in my calories/what size portion fits in my calories; b.) is it worth it ~ generic grocery store cake at an office party = no, but my favorite cake my aunt drove 200 miles to bring me…

I had some at a brunch yesterday that had bits of apricot in it. It was sooooo delicious! As soon as I find out where I can get some, I'll let you know. ;)

Beards = yes. All. day. Long.

Stick with it. Less than two weeks really isn't much time in weight loss world.

I'm sorry you're having such a tough time right now. I understand how even though you are miserable, everything else going on is so overwhelming you can't seem to muster up the energy to start. I don't have an answer for you. I've been where you are and it took me some time until I got to a place of motivation. Try…

Congratulations on a victory well deserved!

I'll second (and third and fourth) the advice that you should look at your logging accuracy with a food scale. You may be logging everything, but if you are guesstimating or using measuring cups instead of weighing, you may be surprised how off you are. When I started weighing everything I was suprised how off my calorie…

My mom's had that problem when she first got it. We ended up reinstalling the program on her computer and she hasn't had a problem since. If this has only happed once or if you recently bought it, try the customer service line. It may be an easy fix.

First and foremost, you need to ask your doctor about this. You say you "set your goal to 1,200 calories." Did you just come up with that number arbitrarily? That may not be enough for you even without breastfeeding in the equation. I'm not saying pig out and eat whatever you want, but you shouldn't be restricting calories…

That's awesome! :flowerforyou:
