Ha!! THIS is how I first realized how much stronger I am getting due to lifting, being able to carry my two boys without the same struggle as before!! I love lifting for the way it makes me feel, and being able to use it in "real life" is just the sprinkles on top!

Welcome! Its definitely do-able, even with kids (2 & 4 y/o boys), a husband and a full time job. I usually get up 5:30-6 M-F, get everyone dressed and out the door, drop the kids off at daycare, and go straight to the gym. Congrats!! I completed my first 5k over Labor Day, and agree that they are addicting! Seems like they have one every weekend right now. We are signed up for a Superheroes vs. Villians one in a few weeks, and then an Ugly Sweater 5k for the holidays! I end up walking/running with my double-stroller, so its a bonus workout…

I love this post! I have recently started thinking about how the ways that I can clean up my diet and have been considering going Paleo (as much as possible anyway). My youngest will be two the end of this month. I am about where I was when I got pregnant with him, but that's still 35 pounds heavier than I was when I got pregnant the first time with his almost-4 year old brother. Ideally would like to lose about 45 more. No more babies in my future, time to get my body back!! Good luck…

This site is for tracking/logging calories and for finding boatloads of info and advice. The other sites are for crunching the numbers so you know what your caloric goals should be, based on your personal stats. Good luck! :)

My NSV - at the gym today I found I was able to complete most of my lunges the "right" way (knee to the ground) to the wall and back 4 times. I could barely do a few the right way a few weeks ago. Yay! :)

My NSV for this week was going out to lunch and ordering sensibly, without using the old "its only one mean I will be better the rest of the day/week" excuse. Yes, everything in moderation, but I find myself making that excuse waaaaaaaaay to often!

I heart this thread. Great to remind myself that with hard work and eating right, that I am not doomed to stay like this. 5'9" CW: 210ish, 34% GW: 150, 20% I just started logging this month, working out 3-4 times a week at the gym (cardio and weights) and trying to stay active with two small kids on the weekend to burn…

I've been making omlets a lot lately....there are a gazillion different ingrediants to use (veggies, meats) and I find it filling and healthy. My favorite thing to put on them is a little salsa. Mmmm. Waiting on some other ideas too.... :)
