CICO is fine for weight loss but your body will need specific things (protein, namely) if you also want to be toned and strong. Muscle does develop without feeding it the right stuff and exercising in a certain way (running, for instance, will give you endurance but not necessarily strength). So, if you want to lose…

Congrats on the weight loss so far!! I lost pretty similarly at the beginning of my weight loss so no fears. I am 5 months in and still pluggin so not everyone goes off the tracks if they experience big losses initially! I would say, though, just a small piece of advice from someone has been where you are....eat more now…

Dont give up. Sometimes it takes a while before it clicks. I can say that if you can make it a week, it might work because you will likely lose weight and that always helped me to stick with it! I hope you are successful in this journey, not only in losing weight but loving yourself, too. You are beautiful and worthy right…

Have you guys tried 5 x 5 stronglifts? I've just started a few weeks ago and I feel like I've got definition already.

I hear ya!! I wanted my double chin gone so badly. Two thoughts. You have about twice as much weight to lose as me and I am just starting to see a thinner face (43 of 55 pounds gone). So give it another 20-30 pounds and see how you feel. Also, are you drinking alot of water? That helped me tremendously. Hope it helps!

You could reduce your calories tomorrow. I do that after a heavy eating day. Kinda evens the two days out.

This. I have watched full seasons of t.v. shows while running on the treadmill and have found it much easier to run longer. That being said, I sometimes get bored and want to switch it up so I so 30 minutes on the treadmill and 30 minutes of hiit on fitness blender. Works like a charm!!

I can relate to almost everything you are struggling with and i can tell you that I am as perplexed by it when it happens to me as you are in your situation! You were absolutely right to up your calories in order to feel better. At my lowest weight I had starved myself to the point you were at. Here is the hard news....you…

I'm 43 and just starting ...5 x 5 stronglifts (week 2). Does anyone know what my caloric intake should be? I'm still losing weight (about 15 pounds to go) and at around 1500 calories. Thanks for any input!!

Thanks for all the input. Glad I'm not gonna die. Glad I'm on the right path. I will download the app to structure my workout. I do have to do bare bar for my presses but my squats and deadlift are heavier. I will take it slow, though, as advised.
